Found this on youtube. A 1986 mall display live show with talking toys, a real life hordak and hologram he-man!

Why can't they do stuff like this today!

I'm not a He-Man fan, but that display would've made me one ten years ago.

Because making children orgasm is illegal.

That was so awesome. Not just a toy display but a work of art.

Those were the days. Kinda wish the camera dude took a stroll through the mall's toystore so we can see the G1 stuff.

Wow, if I saw that when I was 7 or 8, when that was recorded, I would have been one of the happiest kids on the block.

I remember a similar event from back in the day... my local mall had an appearance by Skeletor, He-Man and Hordak (actors in costumes, naturally).

Even though I was a kid at the time, one thing I remember was how much smaller they seemed than I imagined them. He-Man was wearing some kind of tan full-body nylon thing. Skeletor was pretty scary.

The weird thing about it was that the Evil Horde stuff hadn't been launched yet, so nobody knew who Hordak was. It was like He-man, Skeletor... and some weird-lookin' dude with a bat on his chest. It was probably that exact same costume.

Oh hell, that whole setup was awesome. That's how you promote a toyline and a cartoon and expect to see it remembered for a long time.

The 80s really was the best time for toys. Did they do anything like this for transformers?
