Tidalwave was suspose to be in the ROTF movie. Directly after the 2007 movie ended. Fans were teased with leaked pics of some CGI for Tidalwave. he transformed into a Aircraft carrier.

Then a few months later. It appeared Tidalwave was out & devestator took his place.

Even though Tidalwave was cancelled from the ROTF movie. The writers didn't bother to re-write the epic sea battles scenes in ROTF. that was suspose to have Tidalwave fighting the military on the sea. with jets & water based attack ships.

It's definately possible to create some Tidalwave CGI scenes & slip them into that ROTF sea battle. all that's gotta get done is extend the movie by Five to 10 minutes. Hire a voice actor to speak a line or two worth of Tidalwave dialoge. hire a dozen army guys to make believe their fighting Tidalwave in jets, boats & falling off the ships. Perhaps release this on a special extended DVD like Star Wars did with Episodes 4,5 & 6.

To take things to the next level. Takara & Hasbro could create a leader sized ROTF Styled Tidalwave toy. That transforms from robot into a Air craft carrier. Call this toys the exclusive ROTF extended scenes Tidalwave toy.

That's not leaked CGI, it's publicly released concept art.

That's concept art and what you're thinking of would never ever happen.

As the others are saying, that's concept art. Hell, you can even see the artist's signature in the lower right hand corner! Not to mention the very unfinished look when compared to the CGI of the movies.

Plus, you are VASTLY underestimating how much an extra "five-to-ten" minutes would cost in TF movie terms just to have another example of WHY giant robots are a BAD idea for the movies. For example: the Driller from DOTM took about 228 hours to render a SINGLE frame of motion, and this is just for a giant mechanical worm. For Tidalwave, it would be worse since he'd be even bigger than the worm and thus have even MORE moving parts. You REALLY think Hasbro and Paramount are going to blow an absurd amount of money and time simply to tack on an extra giant robot for some later version of a ROTF DVD release?

Also, that toy release idea of yours is both amazingly stupid and implausible. Hasbro is NOT going to make a Leader class figure of a character they had to tack onto ROTF, especially not now when Leader Class figures aren't even in production! Haven't you noticed the way the toyline has been downsizing and focusing more on pushing the smaller Cyberverse figures along with cutting costs by not producing anything above Voyager class? Please, learn to have some realistic expectations, or else you're only going to keep getting disappointed because the impossible didn't happen.

I'm just gonna say he was the USS Abraham Lincoln, he defected to the Autobots so the Decepticons killed him for it.

Cool, get us a script for those scenes, OP. You know, assuming they exist...

'Transformers: Dark of the Moon's' Powerful Visual Effects: 5 Things to Know About How They Did It - The Hollywood Reporter

Item number 2 on the list.

And in one fell swoop I have done more to support my claims than the OP has, by providing a single source of information.

He wants them to exist, so according to his logic that means that they DO exist in some form. To be honest, the only rumors of an aircraft carrier TF I ever heard of was of it being Broadside (with jet fighter mode obviously omitted) as a counterpoint to Devestator, this is the first I've heard of Tidal Wave ever being considered for ROTF.

    1.) He was?
    2.) There were?
    3.) He did?
4.) Where were these epic sea battles in the movie?
5.) There is no "sea battle" to slip Tidal Wave into.
6.) "Slipping" a massive CGI character like Tidal Wave isn't as easy as you make it out to be. Sure, have 100 visual effects artists spend three months of work and $3 million to do so, and maybe you could. But that's a little more than "slipping them in".
7.) You're basically saying that all it takes to film/make a movie is a little bit of filming, hire some guys and do some art. :lol  Bing, bang, boom. Done.
8.) Hasbro could create a figure. That would be cool. After all, I do think that a Bayformers Tidal Wave could be awesome.
9.) There's no chance in hell that we're getting an extended cut of RotF with Tidal Wave.

    Burnout, I like you. Platonically.

:lol  It's funny/sad because that's pretty much guaranteed to be his one and only line.

Sure, let's add ANOTHER giant Decepticon that has exactly one cool scene where he destroys stuff, which could've been done more effectively by the major Cons. That'd totally make everything better.

From the first movie, no less.
