I have a question involving the Tech Inspector on the second disc of the HD DVD.

All the basic reviews of the HD DVD pretty much say the same exact thing:

    # TRANSFORMERS Tech Inspector - Gives viewers an unprecedented look at the TRANSFORMERS robots through the exquisitely detailed models created by ILM artists. Users can zoom in on each detail for a closer examination and pause and change the rotation of the models.

Well... I've been unable to figure out how to do this.

I click on the model I want to look at and choose the body section to view and it "plays" ( non-stop rotation that moves rather quickly ) and the only thing that is obvious to control is whether I want it to rotate to the left or to the right... no option to zoom in or pause it.

Am I missing something or are all these reviews misinformed?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I haven't seen the Transformers disc, myself, but I know that on some HD players, the "A" button on the remote is often used as a zoom function.

As for pausing it, if your pause button doesn't work, I got nothing.

I believe the description is misleading. Best I can tell, when they say you can "zoom in" they mean you can pick amongst the three pre-rendered views, some of which are very tight (the head shot, most notably). Regarding pausing, as best I can tell you cannot pause the 360° rotation, which was the biggest disappointment for me. If someone figures out how to pause the rotation, please let me know too!

I think the zoom part comes from when you select the robot and select which part to look at. So the rotating part is pretty much the zoomed part and it basically is but it would have been cool to zoom in even more.

Honestly how difficult could it be for them to put a pause on the feature. That is just rediculous not to mention you can only have a look at one section.

Hell the happy feet HD-DVD has the ability to zoom the entire movie pan and pause this should too. Not that I own ..... Happy Feet........ OK so what I like that movie.

    lol

The only problem I have with the tech inspector is that nobody is posting any pictures from it.
