Anyone that has the 2010 Predaking Reissue, do you have problems moving the left arm in combiner mode? Mine won't move and I'm afraid I might break it if I put too much force. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thank!

It's actually the left connector peg. When I put Divebomb in there I can't move the arms forward.

Has it always been like that for yours, or is it a recent issue?

My guess is that there's still a little flashing left from the sprue.

I just recently bought it from a tfw member and he said it's always been like that for him so he just never bothered moving it. Do you think some wd-40 will do the trick to loosen it up?

Do NOT use WD-40 on plastic. Damn good way to destroy the toy.

Open it? Use Razorclaw's shoulder joint instead?

Yeah that's what I've been doing, but I was just wondering why the connector joint won't move.

If you put Rampage in the left shoulder it works fine? Is that what you mean?

I haven't tried putting Rampage in the left arm. I'll try that when I get home from work. In order to move the left arm I use Razorclaw's like you suggested.

'Cause you mentioned it not moving with Divebomb in it, I was thinking you might be able to check for any malformations on the peg.

I looked at Divebomb's peg though and it looked fine. I'm thinking it's Razorclaw's connector socket that's the problem.

    A few ideas...

~If you are comfortable opening up the toy and performing "surgery" on it you will probably find that there is some piece of flashing left over on one or more components inside that needs to be removed.

~Instead of a liquid, oil-based lube, try a powdered silicone lubricant. the silicone should not react with the plastic the same way that the oil would.

~ Pick up a (fairly cheap) vintage Razorclaw. A loose one in decent shape without any extra weapons or Predaking parts can usually be had for $20 or less. Either use the vintage one as part of the gestalt display and store the new toy back in its box or cannibalize the vintage one's socket mechanism and swap it into the newer one.

^ A vintage Razorclaw wouldn't really work. The colors would be too different.

Eh.. Could be depends on just how the combined piece look together (I may try it with mine in a week or two once my re-issue arrives just to see). Either way, the gear/socket parts should still be swappable if that ends up being what is required.

I suppose he could also just pick up a full set of 5 vintage bots and just use all of them with the new Predaking combiner parts from the reissue..

    ;)

I'm kidding, but frankly looking at the price of the vintage combiner parts and weapons on Ebay these days it's almost cheaper just to buy a 2010 reissue just to get the hands/feet/head/weapons than to try to buy them individually anymore.

Mine does this too but i have the first reissue from around 2003 and when i put in divebomd the arm wont move up or down at all. Ive just never messed with it and kept it down. Seems like there is a part in there that is glued or something.

Thanks guys for all the suggestions. I'm gonna try to open up Razorclaw and see what I find. Hopefully it'll be an easy fix. If not I'll just have to buy another Razorclaw and swap the parts.

I'm at work right now so I can't post a pic, but I don't think a pic will help anyways. It'll just show Predaking not moving his left arm. lol
