have you noticed that Decepticon machinery takes a long time to boot up?

lmao the Sun Harvester didn't do anything in like the 10 minutes it was running. You think it would destroy at least half of our sun?

The pillars took a while too.

Soundwave's gun should of shot at bumblebee alot faster.

    lmao its just a thought.

It's for the dramatic effect so the Autobots can destroy it in time

I mean come on all movies are like this. When the big bad enemy weapons is nearly charged it gets destroyed. The Death Star for example

It's a plot device, to give the protagonists some time to act.

In the case of the Sun Harvester, it's reasonable...a machine that destroys suns wouldnt be like turning on the tv...

    Same case for the Pillars.

Iy's just to help the needs of the plot. But there's some logic to it.

Yeah, I noticed. I dont like it, but there aint nuthin I can do about it. Its simple plot convenience and/or lazy writing.

the fallen: Now I claim your sun!

    ten minutes later.

    Megatron: ...

The Fallen: Dangit! I shouldn't have run this thing on Windows XP!... ...crap! it wants me to install an update!

    five minutes later.

    the fallen: GAH!

    Megatron: try control-alt-delete!

Unfortunately for the 'Cons, their big weapons are a little too big and obvious for them to convincingly pull an Ozymandias.

These two things have to work at an immense scale. You ain't gonna move a planet or drain a sun in ten minutes.

Soundwave's gun is unfortunately weak against slow-motion action scenes.

Well, the Sun Harvester isn't exactly Decepticon Technology, it's a Prime-Technology so blame them.

But ultimately, it's like Split Lip said: You can't DRAIN A GODDAMN SUN's LIFEFORCE within five minutes, neither can you TELEPORT A WHOLE PLANET in that time.

That said, the Space Bridge worked at a surprisingly FAST rate all things considered: it's a goddamn planet! And it arrived half of its teleportation within half-an-hour. That's impressive.

Yep...I have seen documentaries, in which a star begins attracting another star to it and drains it, and it looks like a long road made of fire comes from one star to the other...And it takes centuries for a star to devour the other star.

Seems like the same way the Sun Harvester would work. So, the Sun Harvester maybe wouldnt take centuries long to destroy a sun, but it would take waaaay longer than 10 min. Months maybe, or a few years.

Of course they work slowly for tension building purposes in the script, but the long "warm up" time makes sense for the ones working on a large scale, as others have said.

As for Soundwave's gun, I'm pretty sure it slowed down because it was targeting one of the unkillable characters. Barricade's had no problem against Wheeljack.

What every forgets is that cybertronians run on windows, ergo why it takes so long to load stuff. The harvester had a virus the pillars were to old to run right
