Have you ever lent you Transformers Toys to anyone in your life? Meaning let them borrow it for the day?

A flash back occared to me today when I was looking at a beast wars Terrorsaur on ebay. when I was 8 I swapped my Terrorsaur with someone's Rhinox for one day. The next day I gave him back his Rhinox mint, nothing missing, but he gave me back my Terrorsaur with no gun. I told him I want it back, but he says "I'm keeping it, so HaHa". Everytime I see him I tell him I want my Terrorsaur gun back, but he keeps changing the excuse.

    - It got lost in the newspapers and was recycled.
    - We were cleaning the table and it was in the garbage now.
    - it fell in the furnace.
    - I was going to give it back to you but I dropped it in the city drain.

So Never lend anything to anyone again!

Your friend sounds rather immature. I've occasionally let some of my friends see my figures, and they usually take pretty good care of them. Really doesn't happen often enough anyways.

Also, I'm sorry but it's gonna bug me if I don't point this out. It's "furnace," not "fernis."

When I was young, 84', 85' in elementry school, that was the thing to do amung friends. In fact after borrowing my friend Hound, My mom was so impressed with the toy she bought me my first TF, Thundercracker.

But one time I traded an Optimus prime, Skids, and a broken/fixed roof Bluestreak for Blaster. This was before anyone ever saw him and only knew of Soundwave. But the same day a different kid offered me $40 of his birthday money for him, so I sold him.

Well the kid I originally traded with came to my class with the 3 TFs I traded with him earlier in the day and wanted the $40.

Like a dumbass, I gave it to him.:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:  I dwelled on that experiance for YEARS!:mad

Only happened once, back around the start of G1. I lent a pal G1 Jazz because he wanted to show his dad who was into sporty cars. The next day he brings Jazz back and quicky makes an excuse and leaves. I discover Jazz's bonnet slider had been broken. I immediately go around to his house to confront him but he won't come to the door and his dad tells me the figure was like that when he borrowed it, which I know it wasn't because not only am I very careful with my stuff but I also checked the figure over before I lent it. I demand they buy me a new one and the door is slammed in my face.

Never had anything to do with that kid again, but if by some miracle he's on here, I hope your dad enjoyed finding I'd punctured all his tires before I went home. You break mine and I'll break yours.

Ever since then I don't lend Transformers. Very rarely do I even let people touch my figures.

Yes, when I was 8 I lent my new Metroplex to a friend from church, just for the night. It came back broken at the waist and his mum, good Christian lady that she was, never even thought to offer to replace.

So, it was a one and only time for me!!!

I've come to the conclusion that, in many things, not just Transformers, no-one really respects your stuff except you.

I used to lend my sister DVDs and they'd always come back the next day with scratches and dust and thumbprints on them. 'I only took them out of the case and put them in the player' she'd say. I guess her DVD player has a dusty abrasive thumb in it then. So now I don't lend my discs. I should've known really as she rarely puts her CDs and DVDs away in their cases and just stacks the naked discs on one another. She bought a new CD the other day and asked me to rip it for her mp3 player. She'd only played the CD once between getting it home and asking me to rip it and it already had a load of scratches on it. Boggles the mind how little care people give to even their own items, let alone ones they borrow.
