Selling and trading Transformers is commonplace, but have you ever given away one for free? When I was but a lad and the G1 series was coming to an end, my mum had a habit of donating my old Transformers to charity, however the only one I've given away recently is Classics Astrotrain after I got the Henkei version. I knew I wouldn't get much for him on eBay, so when trick-or-treaters came around and I ran out of sweets to give, I grabbed Astrotrain and plopped him in a wee boy's bag. I'm sure someone his age won't mind the white deco and I hope he grows up to be a hardcore Transformers fan. :)

I've donated a few to toy drives around christmas time. New of course. I figure if I like them, some little kiddie will think there are cool.

A couple Christmas' ago my girlfriend's nephews didn't get a whole lot toy-wise, so to keep them from fighting over the few that there were I handed them each a figure.

Yeah, I brought a ton of Animated figures from HTS and gave them to the children's shelter.

Everyone should do that and help those less fortunate

I donate at least 20 new TFs to Toys for Tots every Christmas. Last year, with the 'Double Your Action Giveaway' and post-RotF clearances, I donated almost 40 Deluxes and several Voyagers and Scouts.

I also have a few toys that I'm going to try selling in my Sale Thread; if they don't move there, I'll donate them to Goodwill or the Salvation Army.

For Christmas, I've always been lucky enough to find 1 or 2 kids, from the Angel trees, that want Transformers for their presents. I go a little crazy, buying several deluxes, PJ's, couple of T's, anything I can find with TF images on them. I've always wondered if they enjoyed their gifts as much as I enjoyed shopping for them, I hope their eyes went wide and they had big smiles on their faces Christmas morning.

I gave Armada Thrust to a friend.

That's about it. I have no heart, mind you.

one day I was cleaning out the computer room (where I have all of my collectibles.) I saw our neighbors kids playing. I looked at all the stuff I had on the shelves and decided I didnt need half of it so I bagged a bunch of it up and took it over. It was like christmas in aug for these kids. It felt good. Now I am trying to get a few of those things back LOL.

I do donate from time to time. I recently sent a board member in England a Henkei Ironhide - no charge. He needed one, and I happened to have an extra.

haven't really donated a bunch yet, but never really thought about getting clearance ones or shelfwarmers to put in the donation boxes at Christmas till I heard about it here, easy to overlook the obvious sometimes :(

Donated a majority of the Double Your Action Toys I had to "The Giving Tree" this year, as well as some other toys I had picked up along the way. Purchased a bunch the year before for TFTs. Try to drop off about 20 toys a year.

"The Giving Tree" prefers you to work off a list, however all the lists that were on the tree when I worked at the Home Depot had things like an XBOX, an ipod, etc. Sorry kids, I got Legos and Transformers when I was a kid, and that's what you are getting. Figure I can bring 20 kids atleast a little joy rather than give one kid an XBOX.
