It's just so cute the way it paws at the water. I think the cat gets sad to see it go away. :lol

I had a cat that would come into the bathroom when I was in there..Hop onto the sink and pee into it while I was using the bathroom. Originally it was oddly funny, but then when the realization that he never learned to flush, we had to break him of that habit.

wait sami, how did you break your cat's habit? ours goes into the tub and uses it probably 4 times a week to pee in, regardless of whether or not we're home. any ideas? our vet just said be glad it's not the carpet.

I would guess keep the bathroom doors closed at all times and hope they don't start pissing on the carpet.

Seen this before. Reminds me of one of my life's goals: toilet train my cats. But I want them to let it mellow as if it's yellow, not flush it down as if it's brown. What a waste! :lol

Having the ability to be "hands free" while using the bathroom, I was able to grab him when he got into position--Which was having his hind legs in the sink and the front legs up onto the rim of the sink with the tail up, smack his butt and toss him (gently) out of the bathroom..He would continue to try for awhile after...Jump up etc--But with just a quick glance and a stern "No.." he'd jump down and walked away.

I've seen that before, it is pretty damn funny.

My 20 month old son has been doing this. Including the hands in the toilet part, pretty gross when he comes walking out all happy with "toilet hands". We had to get locks.
