Not gonna lie, that Optimus is pretty neat. I'm glad they went with a whole new mold rather than another retool of the CW Ultra Magnus mold.

Dinobots? Eh. Might get Grimlock. They're too small, and I don't care about a Dinobot combiner. I want my Dinobots to be BIG. So probably gonna stick w/ MP Grimlock and pass these up.

Op looks great but I would have preferred a G1 style figure at Voyager. Looks like Henkei Prime will retain his place as my CHUG bot leader.

Swoop...finally a CHUG Swoop, that makes me unbelievably happy. I would have liked him in red but who am I kidding, I'm going to lap that up.

I really like the look of Slash as well actually, cool!

My God, the Dinobots are pretty much the G1 versions with today's engineering. None of the usual Classics "modernized" updates.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but Optimus Prime's truck mode looks a bit sloppy. But I do like the robot mode, even if it is eerily similar to MP-10. Whether that's a good or bad thing depends on who you ask. Dinobots look good, although I'm not sure about Snarl's alt-mode. Does anyone know if we will see the Terrorcons and the Fembots, or is that tomorrow or Sunday?

 

The Grimlock is oddly unimpressive to me. The chest looks kind of bland/cheap and...no 'wings'?

Edit: okay so he does have his wings.

People do realize that they probably have rules that prevent them from discussing the leaks that occurred, right? Their job is to promote everything the convention shows, not to answer a bunch of Internet geeks who found pictures that never should've been released in the first place.

The toys themselves look really good. I'm still new to the idea of trying to make out transformations & gimmicks by looking at the pictures, so I still don't see where people think Grimlock can be a Combiner torso. I feel like I'm missing something obvious. But I can see the Deluxes with the Combiner ports.

 

So no new figures in the case.

MP-10 stand in ? Dude are you f**king serious? Go buy a real MP-10 they are at every TRU as we speak. I'm gonna buy these for fun but I agree the combiner gimmick ruined a great opportunity to give us properly scaled Dinobots. After all the crap Hasbro talked about 3rd parties for years, they do the same thing everyone hated about Toyworld Dinobots and Shuraking. The good thimg here is that the KO companies will see opportunity here with OVERSIZED versions that will scale properly. Maybe these are pretools for Dinoking or Monstructor which makes them good for something.

 

Maybe I remember this incorrectly? But I thought all of the leaders had a deluxe figure, that combined with the trailer to be "powered up". If so, then the OP cab becomes a deluxe, like Orion Pax or the like?

I like everything but Grimlock, unfortunately. Shoving combiner stuff into him really had an impact on his quality.

 

Hooray for blue chest Swoop! My Dinobots jones has finally been satisfied. I would gladly have taken them as individuals, but getting a new Combiner figure out of the team is just icing on the cake. Kudos to Hasbro! If they bring this level of accuracy to Predaking and Abominus, my collection may finally be complete. There will be nothing left for me to buy.
