When I read the thread title the first thing that popped into my mind was "real life transformers!" ghehe.
But yeah wishful thinking aside, it was an interesting read.

They should make a Transformers MMO where you can choose alt mode, customize your bot mode and buy upgrades and such,
Ah, I see he's working from the "pimp everything!" business model.
When I read the title I thought Hasbro was going to pull a Nintendo and become a world-controlling video game company.
Which would be awesome.
I would SO be there.
It wouldn't be THAT tough. You could do it in the World of Warcraft style, too... pick either Autobot or Decepticon (which would mirror the Alliance/Horde dichotomy)... though, hm. I dunno about the not being able to communicate with the other team bit... after all, there's a myriad of episodes that have Autobots and Decepticons working together towards a common goal on smaller scales - such as the teaming up of Ultra Magnus and Cyclonus in... The Killing Jar, I think? I could be wrong on the name. Anyways... that'd be okay, cause we don't want a WoW clone anyway.
Wow, I'm brainstorming ideas left and right in my head... and I'm sure next to no one really cares what I'm thinking on that topic anyway...
But if I can come up with the basic character creation and a rudimentary social... thing (I'm using all these big words and I can't think of one for what I'm trying to talk about!), I imagine the concept isn't too far fetched.
That would be very cool. I'm surprised Hasbro hadn't thought of that yet.
Except it would be exactly the same kind of boring grind that turns people off of WoW and the dozens of other nearly identical MMOs out there.
Eh....yeah that is all I have to say.
WORLD OF TRANSFORMERS is what we need!
LOL at the front page news post's image.
There would probably be some kind of quest to find the Allspark in some really inconvienient place, like a tomb full of zombie Optimus Primes and Starscream's ghosts, begging the question how it got there in the first place.
And your reward for getting it would be something really crap compared to the effort involved.
It's nice to see this guy is open-minded about Hasbro's brands.
As to the MMO idea, I would love to see a TF MMO but chances are it would end up the same chase-the-carrot-on-a-stick grind-up-the-ass levelling gameplay from every other MMO.
I love the new CEO already. Sounds like a guy we can all trust!
Maybe they are going to pull a Marvel and make their own movies now.
First thing he should do is throw some more money at Melbourne House and tell them... "Great game... do another..."
Melbourne House was sold to Krome Studios, and now they're called Krome Studios Melbourne. I believe they're working on several of the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed games at the moment.
A life size Arcee that is good on gas... and puts out if your date acts cherry...
