Oh the fail of it all...so let's see with release 1 and 2, the "special" edition releases, the United releases, and this, that's 5 times I have passed.

 

And they still didn't make it so the legs can collapse.... The prime mold is pretty cool otherwise but the vehicle mode just sucks as it

YES! I've been looking for a Tank Megs to go with rts G2 prime, it makes sense

 

I honestly think this Optimus looks better than the Classics one in both modes. But I don't have either in hand, so don't judge me that hard.

 

I like him, he's my classics Megatron (I hate the Nerf gun mold).

Also there guns are really nice for stealing for less well armed TF's.

 

They actually go really well together. Since G2 Classics Prime is on the short side for a deluxe, their scales match up nicely. And Megatron is actually quite a nice little mold aside from the right arm. He has my favorite headsculpt of just about any Megatron toy.

Can't say the same for that Prime, though. That mold wore out its welcome on the first run. It is the Armada Sideswipe of the Classics line.

If they wanted a more compelling "battle pack," I wonder why they didn't release a 2-pack with G2 Prime and that Megatron (perhaps with purple replacing the tan in Megatron's paint scheme, for added Geetwoey goodness). THAT set would have been more likely to sell, I think.

 

Don't know why they even bother reissuing this set. Those figures, IMO, are crap.

 

Bummer. I dont mind this OP mold but enough is enough.

 

I bet there's still a lot of kids who didn't get this when it was 5 dollars at the discount stores. Good for them!
On the up side THIS Prime works with Powermaster Prime's trailer!
