Hasbro, where are my modern G1 Dinobots?

Why hasn't there been updated versions of the G1 Dinobots? We have gotten Dinobots in Animated, well three of them at least and we got Dinobots in AoE. But the closest thing that we have got to new G1 Dinobots are repaints of movie Dinobots in G1 colors and Classics Deluxe Grimlock. But I don't think that I am the only one that would love some modern G1 Dinobots in a proper size (Leader and/or Voyager) for our Classics shelves.

Well, I got the platinum edition dinobots with g1 decos and g1 heads over the bbts version with slightly better, more g1 accurate decos but no g1 heads
I guess if you really wanted to you could get both sets and swap the heads onto the bbts versions

There was FoC Grimlock, who you forgot. But yeah, I will admit when it comes to updating the dinobots it's generally "grimlock" heavy.

There is MP8, which is basically a chug sized Grmlock.

Incorrect. The closest is the Platnium 5 pack of AoE remolds with G1 heads on all 5. For now you'll just have to settle for the titanmaster Dinobots.

When I mentioned the movie repaints I was talking about those also those are movie designs and not G1 designs.

I pretty sure you that Hasbro might save them for the Mysterious Third part of Prime Wars.

Not to mention the solitary FoC Grimlock in the AoE Silver Kinghts pack. He's probably about as close to a decent modern Grimlock as we're going to get until Hasbro goes all in.

And if one wants Generations style Grimlock and Swoop, there's always the Energon 2-pack that was intended for a Universe release. Despite Grimlock being a little on the short side, it's a decent rendition...especially if you keep Grimlock in dino mode. And they do combine...awkwardly...

    No you weren't. You said:
You see I'm talking about the Platinum 5 pack of the AoE figures remolded with G1 heads in G1 colours. What you were talking about was the comic-con 2014 Dinobot 4 pack plus thrilling 30 #18 Slog. Which are movie Dinobots in G1 colours. And the Platinum 5 pack is closer than those.

I'm sure it'll happen one day...for now though I'll be happy with the G1-headed/decoed Platinum 5-Pack...I'm more appreciative of that...as opposed to having Dinobots that either Gestalts (Combiner Wars) or were/are Headmasters (Titan Returns)...when you weigh it that way ...they weren't forced to have a gimmick they never been close to having...their most important identifier, being Dinosaurs, is still intact...the Dino modes aren't too disimilar to the OG modes...the Platinum 5-Pack with the new heads is sorta the pefrect set of Dinobots...at least for the non-slavish G1 CHUG-lector like myself...

Gotta have some heavy hitters to keep classics going for a few more years, but yes, they are well overdue. Maybe they can't get the copyrights/trademarks :p
