News Post: Hasbro Website Update - Read The First 4 Chapters Of TRANSFORMERS: EXODUS
So this isn't G1? Pass.
It used the term 'the thirteen primes', Wasn't Alpha Trion one of the original 13? Why does this have to be canonical, personally I'm going to ignore it if half moon studios had nothing to do with it.
I hate these PDF files. Can never open them.
You're being sarcastic, right?
It's about as G1 as they come without actually being tied to any existing G1 continuity.
So this is before the movies? How do they explain Jetfire in the films then? Does the book take place before the game?
Based on my understanding, Exodus is the prequel to WFC. It seems like WFC itself, however, isn't really clear whether it's a prequel to G1, Prime, or the films.
Hasbro could have probably done a better job explaining how all of these products fit together, that's for sure.
Very interesting read ill be buying this book now. I had been on the fence but i really enjoyed it
Are any retail stores like Walmart, Target, etc. selling this book or is it just retail bookstores like Borders, Barnes and Noble, etc.?
Saw it on Target web site for $20, but local target said they didn't have it in stock yet so I'll wait.
I refuse to pay $27 plus tax at Barnes/Borders so keep the PDF files coming till Target steps its game up!
I will buy this when I see it at retail or at my comic shop. This will do for a G1 origin story.
This seems like an enjoyable read. I think I may well pick it up now.
Perhaps this story isn't so much a prequel to the WfC game since it mentions Sentinel Prime being the leader in charge (rather than Zeta Prime) and Orion Pax (rather than just 'Optimus') being Optimus Prime's early name (unless Orion takes the name 'Optimus' later). It's probably best to approach this novel without trying to fit it into any particular continuity, because it seems to take influences from a few continuities (G1, movies, comics, WfC, even Armada with the use of 'minicons' for Soundwave). Just enjoy this book for what it is.
Yeah, I'll make the decision for myself as to how I will consider it to rank in my preference of origin stories after I read it.
I haven't read it yet, but it almost seems that Exodus is tied in some way to all the current properties, rather than one in particular. Though, without knowing the details of TF: Prime I'm only speculating ( I doubt PCC will have any fiction).
I'll see if I can convert to epub for a look-through.
I didn't like it. It seemed to much of a rehash of WWI and Megatron Origins. I might still pick it up though. The rest of the book could turn out well.
Im so confused is the Exodus part of the WFC continuity or is it part of the Movie continuity?
I am being sarcastic a bit. BUT... I am disappointed at the movieverse references and WFC stuff.
Maybe this isnt a game tie in maybe we are reading "The History of the War for Cybertron" incorrectly.. Maybe it isnt about the game but the War over Cybertron therefore its own continuity.
Separate names with a comma.
