That is what a Hasbro rep said at the Transformers Design Decisions Panel Report at Botcon 2006.
So people who dont like to hear negative opinions about the movie can take it up with them.

According to that same panel discussion Archer doesnt think that Transformers have a unique look. That is why he wants to push the boundaries.

If there's no unique look, what boundaries are there to push?

WHERE do they want to hear the opinions? Do they have an official feedback area? Would they rather have us post stuff on the movie site?

They probably want them from those attending Botcon.

It's Archer's typical double talk that he talks everytime something that will piss off the fan base to some extent is said or done... not that it matters... just him being PR aware.

They want opinions regarding the leaked designs and the rumors and the script.

There's a difference between giving your opinion and being an asswhole while giving your opinion. Most of us have no problem with people giving their opinions. It's the people who make the idiotic "raping my childhood" type comments that we don't like.

Isn't it too late to change the major complaints anyway?

Heh, I think the peeps from Hasbro are going to get MANY opinions about the leaked movie designs whether they want to hear them or not, so I don't think they need to worry about "asking" us for them. Especially when fans see SO many awesome G1-esque related designs floating around BotCon - all of which actually look like TF, unlike whatever they're churning out for the movie.

Have to wonder, though, do they want feedback & opinions because they may still actually be able to revise things before post production kicks in?

It may be too late for changes but perhaps they merely want the feedback for consideration on future endeavors.

This just seems like a bad, BAD idea... They will be flooded with opinions... I think they were better off not asking... They can't possible try to please everyone...

I wonder if anyone's opinion will be simply punching Hasbro reps in the face?

My biggest question is... how is the toy line going to look? If they're really pushing the boundaries with the designs, wouldn't it be hard to make an accurate toy out of it? Think Beast Machines...

Why the hell are they asking now? From what I can gather, filming is nearly done. Fan input or not, there's not much they can do at this point.

I think they want our opinions, only to laugh in our face later and say, "J00 THOUGHT WE WAZ GUNNA LISTEN TO J00?!"

And then we'll still see the movie anyway.
