How the heck do I use them? I cannot, to save my life, find out what service they use to ship. Thanks for any input.

The numbers don't work for UPS, USPS or Fed Ex. I'm really confused.

I'm having the same problem with my HTS order. Two of my tracking numbers work, three don't. I usually track using boxoh.com so which service hts uses to ship shouldn't be an issue. This is the first time I've bought anything from hts, and I admit I'm a little worried about getting my merchandise. It's probably just my inner geek over-reacting, though.

HTS ships everything via FedEx at first, they have some deal where FedEx takes it most of the way, then hands it to USPS. The tracking number works with FedEx first, then USPS when it's practically on top of you. Also keep in mind tracking numbers dont mean your item has been shipped, it's assigned to a package when the postage is bought for it, but doesn't work until FedEx picks the box up and scans it into their system.

not to be contradictory but HTS has never used Fedex for me, here is a number given as part 3 of my order and even linking and searching with google chrome brings up USPS site:

    Label/Receipt Number: 9102 9242 7700 1108 4289 24

There is no record of this item.

Why Are You Receiving This Message?

    1. Event information may not be available if your item was mailed recently. Please try again later.

    2. The number was entered incorrectly. Be sure to enter all of the letters and numbers as they appear on your mailing label or receipt.

This was shipped out 11/30, so I'm sure its picked up. I assume they ship so much for HTS that they don't bother updating the #.

It's a USPS-coded number and they never tell you they use FedEx, but they do. The only way you find out is by e-mailing customer service.

I just copy/pasted and tried the different shipping companies until FedEx gave me a response. and yep, the first order i got from them, my postal carrier handed it to me from her truck, and left me confused.

i have never had a problem using any tracking numbers from either HTS or any other retailer.

if it starts with a "9", its USPS. if it starts with a "2" or a "0" (I forget which), its Fedex.

I had a similar odeal with them. I got the email that said: "Item is shipped on 11/22". So, I figured, 7-10 days will be here. Checked the tracking, it said that shipping info was recieved 11/27. Item showed up monday, so a week after it said it was shipped. I don't think they use regular tracking, just that type that "marginally" updates. Which is hit and miss.

Typically you have to wait 24 hours or so after HTS sends the shipping notice before the numbers are active in the Fedex or USPS system. I've got three packages enroute from HTS now. Fedex has sent info to USPS on all three.

All I can say is give it some time, things aren't updated instantly when it comes to tracking packages.
