Has anyone ever been inside of or seen the inside if a Hasbro Transformer production line? I think it would be a great tour and very interesting to see the process. I mean, as long as you can turn a blind eye to the 4 year old assembling your movie prime..

There was a factory tour at a Botcon in Rhode Island. I wasn't there unfortunately, I'm not sure how many folk got to go, or whether it was invite only.

No doubt you'll get a response from someone that was there soon.

I bet it looks like this:

Only with toys instead of candy, and Chinese factory workers instead of Umpa Lumpas

It wasn't a factory tour per se. It was more of a R&D tour. We got to see their workshop and design stuff.

There were some closed doors that we weren't allowed to go past though.

Here are some pics from that tour: http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d110/razerwire/Miscellaneous/BotCon 2007/Tour/

But as far as an actual factory, I don't think anyone has posted anything about being able to take a tour through one of those.

Cheers man, nice pics. I knew there had been some sort of tour, didn't remember the details. Bet that was a good day.

They're unused prototype GI Joe TF's, big enough to seat Joes. There's a thread about them somewhere, should be easy to find with a search.

A chinese assembly factory is not a pleasant thing. If you saw one, you'd probably swear off buying TF's.

Ask one of the ebay scalpers stealing TF toys and selling them months in advance. I'm sure they can tell you all sorts of stuff. :D
