I just got HA leadfoot. After modding it, I was asking myself why didn't those parts with the headlights made like the prototype so I can flip it like the pic. Mould problems perhaps? Anyone has a clue or maybe input on it?

Cost-saving, I'd assume. Things like these aren't just "forgotten", that requires an intentional change.

I just cut some parts up to actually make it fold that way.

Maybe reused moulds for certain parts of the bot to make it more cost effective?

Have you checked some of the unofficial trasformations too? They make him look way, way better.

Mine's MISB so I haven't actually played with him, but if that's the final result, then that's one ugly sob. His torso section looks rediculous, he has a chest piece for a crotch...how I didn't see this on purchase is beyond me lol.

Cost saving and the possiblility that the pieces didn't pass the drop test among other safety tests.

Check out MattBooker.info for one of the best alternative transformation for HA Leadfoot to date.

I did this before looking up known mods. I started checking out other mods after I checked out the movie again. lol Nothing really out there that says low hanging flab.

I might cut out some pieces on the inside of the front bumper and maybe cut out more pieces on the target hood to make it look like a low hanging flab.

Yeah, the drop test. That's another possibility.

i use a hybrid of a few alternate transformations. basically the official one looks like shit, so just find a transformation that you like and go with that. you really don't have to do any modding though to get him into some pretty cool transforms.

hasbro instructions are usually pretty on par, but every once in awhile a toy like this comes around that just doesn't look right with official transforms. luckily leadfoot is something unique that can be set up a variety of ways. just go with what you like.

Yeah, Leadfoot is sooo fugly it makes him such a beautiful figure. That low flab gut is what make him beautiful. Bayformers are genius that way. The little nuances in transformation is just so much fun. I've been fiddling with him since yesterday.

When I bought Leadfoot it was on a whim.

When I got rid of him it was premeditated.

That looks MUCH better imo. Did you mod it or just rearrange parts for that pose?

all these unofficial transformations look great. i kind of wanna pick him up at target provided he's on clearance and still in stock.

no modding. just rearranged it based off a few different alternate transformations fans had done. I liked certain things from a few different choices, so I just made my own.
