I was interested in the idea they said they had for showing 'Family' programming that would include gameshows based on Hasbro board games and other properties..... like Monopoly, Battleships, etc... I also hope that a properly handled Gi Joe Cartoon might mean we see Gi Joe get more of a global re-launch - but as long as they try to sell the figures at £7.99 I can't see them ever selling well in the UK. Now they are only £1.99 i'm sucking them up right quick though. I'm waiting with great interest further info on Hasbro's Plans for Micronauts. And I hope that if they introduce other properties they might own or wish to buy they stay faithful to them and don't mess them UP Thundercats done in the same sort of Style as 00's Heman (MOTU 2002) would be great but if they kiddyfied it it would be a disaster of epic proportions. But maybe if they are looking for programming ideas and if we loose enough boys lines to make a gap to allow it then I'd really like to see a M.A.S.K. reimagining or sequel.
another news : Hasbro Studios hires Sony's Page as production boss 04/02/10 Toy manufacturer Hasbro has hired for Sony exec Kathy Page as vice president of production for its new production studio. She will be charge of production of programming, much of which will be aired on The Hub, the soon-to-launch kids channel run jointly by Hasbro and Discovery Communications. The network, which is run by Margaret Loesch, will launch this fall. The studio will produce series based on its toy properties including GI Joe, My Little Pony and Transformers. Page will report to former Granada America boss Stephen Davis, who became president of Hasbro Studios last summer. She was previously VP, animation at Hollywood studio Sony Pictures Television, where she oversaw production on series including The Spectacular Spiderman and Sit Down, Shut Up. ..... ok The Hub this fall will be great
