I spotted 5 boxes of these at WM tonight. The boxes where 3 ft by 8in by 4 in. There where 18 figures in the box. Any idea what they are. I asked the Walmart rep and they wouldn't even open it. They have a street date of the 14th of next month. My guess would be Transformers "Special Preview Deluxe" Action figures, but thats just a guess. Any ideas?

I would assume those were the movie preview Starscream and Optimus.

Well if they have a street/shelf date then they're not allowed to open them before then. It'd be too early to release them already, give it a few more weeks, movies not out for another 4 months, too early to be releasing preview toys.

Yes, I know walmart began sending out online orders of them.

Are you sure they're transformers? When I saw "SPD", the first thing that came to mind was Spiderman. :p

Thats probably what it is. Makes sense. Hasbro does make the Spiderman toys as well.

The SPD abreviation is indeed used on all of the Hasbro Spiderman boxes, I should know after my countless hours Cars/Transformers hunting.

Many of the Spider-Man toys are set to debut on Saturday. Saw a commercial for it on TV last night. It's most likely them.

My local Wal Mart has street dated toys set to ring as a recall. I found a few Spidey 3 figures and went to get Venom but couldn't since it automatically pops up as a recall at the register.

Those are Spider Man 3 toys.

I believe the real street date on those is this Sunday. There's some sort of launch event at my local store ... take your picture with spider-man too. :O !

New MySpace profile pic, here I come!

That's kinda retarded...if they put them out on the shelf they should honor their obligation to sell it. But thats just me.

Exactly! I wasted 30 min. arguing and then left. Bastards! The pegs had some and lots were missing, so SOMEONE was buying them. Their loss!
