And what I mean by that, is that I'd like to see it listed on the packaging, in the Tech-Specs, and as part of promotional tie-ins. It could be like the specialness of Combiner Teams, without the combining. And you'd still want to track them all down.

Edit: Mods, thanks for moving. My bad.

Agreed. This would be a perfect subline like WFC for Generations.

It would be like PokeMon---Gotta Catch'em all.

Give 'em their own faction symbol to increase the effect.

    They do have one.

Anyway, the only members of the Wreckers who've been consistent across continuities have been Springer, Broadside, Sandstorm, Roadbuster, Whirl, Topspin, Twin Twist, and Impactor (who doesn't actually have a toy). Most of those guys have never been upgraded, and others have but not in recent years. Of the ones who have been used in recent years, Roadbuster's Universe toy did make explicit mention of his status as a Wrecker.

I think it's safe to say that should those characters become more frequently used in the toys and not just the comics, that Hasbro will make something out of it. But, I also think that most of the fascination with the Wreckers is only because of how great the new comic was; the Wreckers weren't -that- important in the past, and the group isn't as big as people seem to think it is now that they've been exposed to it.

But why not run with that popularity? While it's fresh in people's minds?

I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice. I've got my Universe Springer and Roadbuster hangin next to each other. But, Hasbro hasn't even given us a full Ark Crew yet, they don't seem to have all the time and budget to give us every full group we want.

You realize that even if they wanted to make a Wreckers toy right now it would take about a year from design, to molding, to construction, to shipping before it even hits shelves?

Another point people need to realize is only a small percentage of Transformers fans even read the comics so whatever popularity they do have is not as big as you may think.

Points taken. It's just that Hasbro could do SOMETHING with them. The packaging is so busy anyways. What's one more logo? I'd rather have a blurb about "The Wreckers" over "Mech-Alive" any day.

Honestly I had not read any comics that concerned the wreckers. I did however him about them on this site and researched them on TFWiki. I gotta say I was just impressed with the TOTAL BADASSERY that was presented to me. Also reprolabels makes wrecker decals. I have even thought about how to make some customs, if I ever get around to it.

Ok....but what would a Wreckers blurb be doing on a toy that isn't a Wrecker? For a "trivia" fact? You may not want to read about Mech-alive but it's more appropriate to a toy then a Wreckers blub and may help sell the toy...which is more important to Hasbro...selling toys over informing people about what's cool in the fandom.

Does this whole idea have any logic behind it?

I can see making toys of characters there were Wreckers. Just not making a big deal about it. Maybe a mention in the bio. "So and so has been known to be in the WRECKERS", and so on.

They could do a Rotorstorm. Or if my dream came true and they did a Generations Impactor I definably can see mentioning it in the bio and maybe a Wrecker symbol.
