Any show that gets rid of Fixit and his incredibly ANNOYING voice has my vote..

I'm cautiously optimistic of what they have planned. Time will tell and I'll try to keep an open mind.

I wasn't complaining. I like Aligned just dont care at all for RID, it offered/added nothing but gimmicks to Aligned. :/

Cambodiya, Nostaglia, g1, i have no idea what you mean...

    i disagree.

Season 4 had a lot of stuff in it, season 4 is not well renowned for it's cohesion. You are talking about all kinds of stuff and that is ok but i want to point out if they are going for cohesion as you suggest they won't achieve it in this way.

Aligned was cohesive because all previous aspect of tf lore were sown together in one continuity. it won't get much more than Aligned achieved. Or i suppose Animated to extent.

Those are the occasional exceptions that, aside from Windblade, are all done as ill-fitting retools.

The characters weren't interpreted differently, they developed in new directions when placed into new environments with new situations. It didn't push any eco-terrorist agenda. When Optimus Primal was leading the Maximals in that direction, he was wrong. The show says as much and in season two, the Maximals start fighting for a balance between technology and organics. As for the tone, it at least fit for what they were trying to do. They were telling a story about how extreme views can turn anyone into a villain. That's better than Prime, that just had a gritty tone constant killing for no real reason.

The fact that it is chapters rather than seasons gives me some hope that this will be an anthology series. Which would be great if done right. I would love if it revisited some of the old universes if it is.

Though if this cartoon is no longer an Aligned cartoon, I'd be pretty disappointed if the conspiracy on Cybertron is never going to be a focus or concluded on RID.

If this is just a G2 style repackaging of episodes from older shows than this is terrible and I will hate that we would not be getting anything actually new.

Right when I thought we were about to move on for a little while Hasbro drags us back to tired old G1...
    Okay that I would love.

Is that meant to be a defence of G1? Because it's really not.

G1 started it all. It can be done better but outside of beast wars it hasn't happened yet, fingers crossed for the new series.

I don't blame you. I wish Takara would stop hiding behind Hasbro and start doing their own movement of Transformers. After Galaxy Force, I feel like its declining.

I only included Beast Wars since it actually touched on G1, just in case something wanted to point it out. Otherwise no, what you're saying isn't a return to a G1 setting.

And Beast Machines was trash. It shit on so many things from the show it was a sequel to, and on its it own was a mess as well. A lot of good concepts, poorly executed.

Here is what is up. You look at this diagram and it is worrying.. A strategic mindset which ends up in crap. As adult collectors(fans) we are meant to watch 10 minute episodes of Combiner Wars animation? So Hasbro can make RescueBots and Rid for a kid audience and they dont have to cater for older fans?

We loved Animated and we loved Prime as older fans. Many "fans" tuned in to watch Prime with their kids, both equally excited to see what happens next. Does this setup mean the catch all show is not possible?!? That would be sad.

I look forward to what they come up with anyway. The potential for G1ness is intriguing.

...i'd rather see a new series set in the G1 continuity than a G1 remake...

I hope this is a G1 redux because I don't want to know why Megatron wanted to build a giant purple griffin.
