This was my thought as well. Each chapter focuses on a different continuity.

I'm greedy, though, so I want it to be all G1. :D

I just hope they don\'t go the route of so many other shows and have 8 minute episodes for adderal addicts.

Seems hype. Hope its not too G1 and instead is more like Ben 10: Omniverse or TMNT 2012 where it would focus on all past incarnations but tell new stories. The logo is great.

Devcon needs an episode to show how he became a bounty hunter deep in Space away from the other bots.

Hmm, this has my attention - a neo-G1/BW/etc. series with a decent accompanying toyline would be most welcome.

You've got more chance of the Pope becoming a Targetmaster.

Although I'm one of those "oh great, more G1" people I hope that the fact that Hasbro are leaning on such an old series means that there will be a bit more done to cater to an older market. We have Rescue Bots for young kids so how about this show for kids and adults? Prime was perfect.

    No.

The term reboot is tossed around so much these days that people don't know what it actually means. The closest we've had to a reboot was when IDW launched their comics. None of the cartoons have been reboots of G1. They were just new chapters, that mentioned or ignored the old ones.

Ugh, didn't think of that. I think that format works well for some other things, but I really hope that isn't the case with this...

Not really sure if having it be a redux of G1 is a good idea though, and the title sounds more like a series of 5-minute web shorts. But hey, if this is gonna be on both TV and online, then what the hell, I'll give it a shot.

So basically this is a giant love letter to G1? I mean sure it's good for the G1 fans but to be honest it does feel like the brand will be focusing on nothing but G1 content for a long time and not leaving much room for new ideas which can also mean fans of no G1 series will not get as much attention. Though if this is part of an anthology series where G1 is among the other series then that's cool. The idea of revisiting the BW era again is an exciting one.

Saban owned the dub, and they were bought out by Disney. Saban bought back the Power Rangers, but the rest of his library is owned by the Mouse. Watch them on YouTube until Disney Legal pulls them down. That's about all we're gonna get.

Honestly something other than G1. As I've said before, the brand is 30 years old and has seen many iterations in terms of comics, games, tv shows, and movies. There's so much to explore. Why do we have to keep going back to G1?

Because there hasn't been a new G1 cartoon in 30 years.

    Because G1 sells.

And also Hasbro is just creatively bankrupt at this point. They're so afraid of risk that they'd rather rehash G1 again as opposed to brand reinvention.

I know a lot of people are sick of G1... and I totally respect and understand that, especially on the toy side of things. Beast Wars, the first (original) RiD, and Armada in particular, I feel do deserve some more love than they've gotten in a while.

That said... speaking only for myself...

... I haven't been able to "get into" any of the animated fiction since Beast Machines. I tried. Hard. I just couldn't do it. I'm a Geewunner and Beast Wars fan for life, I guess. That's what I grew up with, that's what I love.

And for a long, LONG time, there hasn't been a televised fiction to support my G1 themed toys. A LONG time. If this finally gives me that again... especially if it has decent animation, hews close to Generations in terms of design, deepens and expands on G1 style lore and as they put it "mysticism," and actually resurrects the feeling I had as a kid decades ago that, "These toys I'm collecting are present in this fictional universe that's ongoing on my TV screen as well," then...

... I'm hyped as hell. That said, I'm also extremely circumspect as to how well they'll pull it off, or, indeed, if what I'm hoping for is even what it'll be. So, fingers crossed.

Nothing can be as bad as that show.
