Do you care that the final DOTM toys are more or less canned?

I stop and pause for a moment... I reflect on the momentous atrocities and horrors that plague the world... poverty, famine, genocide, pollution.... then I stop.

I re-read all the posts on here, they are about form letters.. chunks of plastic... and everyone being confused about one different thing or another... taking little words... pixels... and giving them so much passion...

We're just a bunch of cyber-geeks... squawking about toys.... I begin laughing hysterically.

And this is why I never get worked up when a toyline is cancelled or I miss out on things like FE prime figures. I'll try to get my hands on them but if not, meh. Plenty more transformers to buy.

We find out this weekend... but more likely not.

We'll just get the same news about Prime toys....

I'm the opposite, I don't watch the Prime show all that often and it has a more simplistic/cartoony aesthetic that while fine, doesn't really appeal as much to me as the movie figures.

I'd love to get Soundwave, Que, and Leadfoot but at the moment Hasbro's not made anything clear on that front so I just have to hope that they release them in the trilogy line. If not I might have to settle for higher import prices.

Hasbro has to prioritize what they want to do with a line before they release it, and also plan for future lines that may come out. Repaints seem like a lazy way to pad out a line, but they allow for them to fit their "Bumblebee" quota, and such. Repaints I find are often shelfwarmers, as Hasbro overestimates when a certain character will sell out. I think what they should do is pack one Decepticon to every Autobot in a case, as I know that a kid wants to have one Autobot and one Decepticon so they can fight!

Also, I honestly don't think it is Hasbro ruining distribution and such, it's the stores. They want millions of Bumblebee toys because that's the only name they know. What about Megatron? Optimus? Starscream? Are they chopped liver? Why are we not getting repaints of them instead of countless Bumblebees?

I don't really care that they got canceled. I'd like to have a screen accurate DLX Leadfoot to go with my Topspin (and eventually a screen accurate DLX Roadbuster too), but I'm also kind of happy they're cancelled... Because that means MOAR PRIME TOYZ!

I only care about HA Soundwave, because of my love for the HA line and how much of a completist I've been with it.

He's going to be another Mudflap, and I'm going to have debate even buying him. I don't think he'll be worth the higher prices I would have to pay.

I just wanted to clarify that we could still get all these toys in the future... Hasbro could release HA Soundwave in 2013 and launch a new HA line, we just probably won't be getting them in there original decos or DOTM packaging.

Thus DOTM ended one wave short and is considered abruptly cancelled.

Again, what I mean by 'cancelled' is we won't be getting what Japan/Asia got, we may at some point even get Leadfoot.... but it will probably be logoless and sold everywhere.

Seeing as how Soundwave is barely decoed to begin with, I eagerly await for one in which the car is actually painted.

Honestly, I think you're better off just customizing it yourself.

You can make it as detailed as you want and any paint job you put on these plain plastic molds are going to automatically look better than the original.

Why, oh why couldn't they have just released Target exclusive Leadfoot in a single package, and back with those shitty translucent repaints from a while back?
