Is there a release date set for Hasbro's version of MP-10?
no. or it would have been on a card in the display.
no price either.
just wondering why does Hasbro always do that? it's getting worrisome for us collectors. Takaratomy/ Japanese retailers are always displaying the ETA and pricing, thou.
because japanese retail distribution works differently.
i say end of 2012 to sometime in 2013 and the price$40 (guessing!!!!)no idea though just a random gues1
It's not going to be $40. MP Rodimus without his trailer was what, $60 or $70?
At the very least I'm saying $80. Wouldn't be all that surprised if it topped $100 though.
Excuse my language but are you fucking insane? $40?! LOL! Damn. I guess one can wish but you're definately getting a huge pile of shit in the other hand bro.
He"s not serious. He just likes to get reactions from people.
IF MP Optimus' release mirrors the release of MP Rodimus last year, we could get a release at SDCC first before it pops up online and then at retail not long after.
However, MP Rodimus was a shared exclusive so that's why it was available at SDCC (I don't think Grimlock was the same deal, that was just a TRU exclusive only) and as far as I knew, there's been absolutely no indication so far that the MP Optimus release will follow in the footsteps of MP Rodimus.
I'm hoping it ends up the same deal as Rodimus last year because I don't want to stalk TRU's website this summer and/or get stuck looking at retail for it because my TRU is really bad at getting MPs in stock for more than 5 minutes...I never saw either Grimlock or Rodimus at retail. Entertainment Earth's booth isn't the looooooong wait that Hasbro's booth is at SDCC, so my odds are better that I can pick it up while I'm there than at a TRU.
I would rather see Hasbro's MP-10 as a Wal*Mart exclusive, if its gonna be an exclusive at all. And I agree, the price point will be around $80.
Wal Mart would order it in large quantities then slash and burn the price in short order.
Maybe Hasbro want to avoid that. They also essentially admitted they want to support actual toy stores... It's in their interest to not be dependent completely on companies like Walmart.
80 sounds optimisic when they pushed grimlock to 70, but we'll know soon enough.
If it's a TRU exclusive, I'm screwed. My TRU never had the Rodimus or Grimlock and I stalked the store for months it seemed.
Thats my point....TRU always short stocks. And over prices.
its gonna be $100-$120, anything cheaper is unlogical
hell the fact that the trailer is coming over at all breaks all kinds of logic, but no way is it going to be $80
and since its at TRU it will be hard as hell to get, never did find grimlock or rodimus
There has been no confirmation that it will be a TRU exclusive. For now it's all speculation.
Pretty sure it was reported that it in indeed a TRU exclusive at BotCon.
Yeah, it will probably be around $100. Even if it is $125, that is still only half the price of the Takomy version.
However, I have a hard time imagining that the production run will be as limited as Rodimus Prime or Grimlock. This is Optimus Prime we are talking about here.
Do you really think the production run will be influenced by the character?
Rodimus Prime, Grimlock and Skywarp are pretty much fan favorite characters.
