Chrome or not, it is the Target Master that has me sold. Well actually it is the fact that I can get Hot Rod without slurging on another trailer that I do not need. Did I mention Target Master??

I'm staring at mine right now and the picture posted, and can't help but notice. Does his spoiler actually sit closer to his back in the Hasbro version? I'd love it if that were the case

There's no trailer in the Hasbro version. There was never going to be one in the Hasbro version.

But frankly I don't think you'll miss it.

 

Dangit. I may have to get this one, too. I love the trailer on the Takaratomy release, but I like the targetmaster as well. Since it's TRU, I figure $70- $80.

 

They're cool and people like them.

 

That would be impossible without a MAJOR retooling of his entire backpack. I think it's an illusion caused by packaging.

Yes, that's the MP 01 Matrix, you can see how it has the translucent part's sides slightly sticking out.

Is the round blade thing the buzz-saw on his hand? Didn't knew it was removable.

Frankly the deco looks the same as the Takara version to me, there might be some small differences I haven't noticed.

I bet it still has the Hot Rod face, just like Starscream had his, and the guns look like they can be taken apart. Firebolt/Sparks/Offshoot looks awesome, seems he transforms pretty much the same way as the G1 toy. I hope they made modifications to the engine so it'll be able to plug in there.

I wonder how much this'll cost... most likely there'll be inflation compared to Grimlock's 60$. But, I'll gladly take this over the Takara one with its problems and the ugly big box that doesn't turn into anything much.

 

For me, the Targetmaster is going to be wasted.... I've never liked the old targetmaster stuff.... way too gimmicky... like the headmasters.... and now MECHTECH.... all kibble to me.

 

If the Australian release is going to be similar to the US release, I can't wait for July

There's something amusing, I find, about the bonus target master being named "Offshoot".

 

I like this chest flame design much better.
Something bothered me about the black outline on original MP Rodimus.
And with exclusive Targetmaster this one is a must buy. May be two.
