Since Hasbro confirmed at BOTCON that they would be releasing their version of the MP-10 Optimus as a TRU exclusive, did they also give a price point for it?

Not officially, but there have been lots of guesses that it'll be around $100-$125. We'll just have to wait and see...

Do we know yet if there is any difference in the main figure from the Takara version?

I know the US has stricter child safety laws, and they have changed the masterpiece Grimlock and Optimus Prime reissues in the past.

Hopefully they don't butcher this figure just to save a few eyes from getting poked out.

If there's actually a problem spot with the figure, it'd be illegal for them not to...

:)  Sorry, it was a bad joke. I want everyone to keep their eyes.

What was changed with MP Grimlock? Are you counting the claws not being as sharp? If so, that's really not a big deal compared to circumcised smoke stacks.

Speaking of smoke stacks, is it true that MP-10's stacks can raise and lower? If so, that could be a way around the safety laws. After all, the pics show Hasbro Prime with long stacks preserved.

Dulled teeth and claws. The paint apps are gaudy and the gold chrome mismatches a little, but that a nitpicky opinion.

Yes, but only by about 1/2". They only stay up by friction, unfortunately, and I could see them being easy to break.

Although, if they're remolded in a way in which they could pop out easily, then that would alleviate the problem.

Hard to say if they'd be judged as a hazard in the first place, though.
