^Oil Slick was in the comic book. So at least he got a moment in the Animated fiction world. And it was a pretty cool little short story to boot.

As far as Galvatron goes, No. New mold or don't do it.

I dunno, I wouldn't say Hasbro has much to worry about in terms of missing golden opportunities.

you know what's funny, that ebay auction proves why hasbro did NOT miss the golden chance. No one even wants to buy that right now. It would be a waste of money to repaint and sell that.

theres still the movie megs repaint in galavatron colors coming out and galvatron was not in the movie so you cant follow that logic. and the movie rotf megs in the purple does look pretty slick. let tak/tomy do the aniamted galavatron, they will keep that train going even if the figures get all weird random metallic paint apps.

...and, IIRC, Wyatt suggested he was to be an independent character. (?)

I wouldn't put it past Takara.

    Perhaps something limited.

Independent in the sense that he was Megatron from the future, just like TFA Cyclonus is Starscream from the future.

Dude they missed it by not doing Cybertron Mode BB. They could have got a ton of retools from that mold.

All I've learned from this thread is how awesome that cancelled Megatron would be as Overlord.

Not necessarily the Starscream. Possibly one of his clones.

Hasbro missed the golden chance, by not recoloring Cybertron Optimus Prime, Voyager Optimus Prime, Deluxe Optimus Prime, Activator Optimus Prime, Legends Optimus Prime, Command & Roll Out Optimus Prime & Wingblade Optimus Prime into Ultra Magnus (or is it Ultra Minus)?

From what I gather from reading a few replies in this thread.

It seems like a lot of TF fans force themselves to buy every single TF toy & recolor they like, mildly like & don't like. BECAUSE THERE COMPLETIST.

I don't buy TF toy molds nor TF repaints that I hate. nor am I a completist.

Repaints are great because it allows non-completist. like me to chose the best color scheme applied to that TF toy mold.

I have in the past sold off/returned my TF toys with un-desired color shemes whenever a better color scheme comes out. example Energon Galvatron

Where are you getting 'a lot of TF fans are completists' from in this thread?

Dude where'd you get that info from? it sounds so awesome.

this is the very first time i've heard of Hasbro repainting that ROTF Leader sized Megatron toy mold in Galvatron colors.

about the only thing i've seen are various ebay auctions with TF fans. do custom paint jobs of ROTF Leaders megs in galvatron colors.

yeah I had high hopes of takara doing a animated recolor of voyager megatron in galvatron colors. since the animated toy line/cartoon is almost ending in japan. I doubt it'll happen now.

Isn't that the known-about Shadow Command Megatron which is already out?

there is clearly a pic above of the animated voyager megatron toy custom painted in Galvatron colors.

consumers would have paid voyager prices for animated voyager Galvatron.

Hasbro has never sold TF voyager sized recolors at TF leader sized prices

Cyclonus is Skywarp. At least that's what I believe. Think about it. It's almost like in g1 (Skywarp was the Armada).

And Megatron didn't even look like Galvatron.

I mean, all I see is Megatron with purple paint on him.

Oil Slick was a toy before he was on the show, though.

Personally, I'm tired of the "I'm a different color now so call me 'Galvatron'" business.

I don't think Hasbro missed on anything.
