Thats EXACTLY where Im at bro.

Got a family now. I have a "cap" on what I spend on a single piece. Its like $60. I will buy this prime, but If I were single and making the money I was 5 years ago, I would be an absent minded "buy it now clicker guy" buying every 3rd party and exclusive and takara and ....well..you get it.

This Prime coming to TRU is a wish come TRU for me.

Of course it's a TRU exclusive. Hasbro must love watching people make more money on Ebay selling their shit than actually making a profit themselves.

If its not at a significant Markup (Most I'll do for Hasbro MP Optimus Prime Mark II is $120 Shipped)
I might just take you up on that offer.

That might be tough to do if there's tax involved. Might need to add a few bucks to that.

Guess what? That ain't how it works. They'd probably give them wider releases if $100 toys weren't such a niche market, especially in this economy. We're lucky we're even getting it at all.

I'll try and see what I can do as well my sis works for Johnson and Johnson in C-bus may be able to help out by saving on shipping by doing a local pickup. At $100 I'm tempted to buy 2 just for myself or hang onto one for later after he sold out (which I doubt will take long) to hook up some other board member who missed out.

HMMMM... Well, since that's what I quoted earlier LOL ... anyhoo... What I'll probably when they hit the stores, buy mine, put the others on lay-a-way, come here, find who honestly wants 'em, get the paypal, then pick 'em up at the store... tho I'd need to factor in the paypal charges... hmmmm....

Think the MP Grimlock trade will be my best bet. LOL

I wonder if Optimus will be available on TRU's Website at the same time....

Bah, who am I kidding. Every major TRU store will only get one case containing two, and then it will be gone for months on end.

I'd like to request help with securing one, but that hasn't helped me in the past.

I want this, and will be saving $100 just to get it when it comes out.

I just don't get it, if you want a MP Prime without the Trailer why not just get MP-01 or just buy this one and sell the Trailer to someone else. I know there are plenty of people that will buy it.

I would be so upset if they came out with a second MP Prime and it didn't come with a trailer. There was already a release without it, and I passed on it because Prime isn't Prime without the trailer.

There was actually a point in time where after the initial craze, both of the TRUs in Portland actually couldn't get rid of Grimlock for about two weeks. At that time I was going to TRU three times a week after I got my Grimlock hunting for other toys, and it seemed that TRU just couldn't get rid of them. Then finally they dried up. Hot Rod was a similar issue where after the initial wave, TRU sat on them for a few weeks. I've got a feeling Optimus Prime will be the same thing.

I mean, TRU would've had up to four or five Grimlocks on the shelf at each store, and I remember one TRU having a full six Hot Rods without moving any of them at one point.

Could you help out a fellow international collector? I'm pretty keen to get my hands on one of these and would very much appreciate it!
