The sliding frame is plastic on the US version? It's diecast on MP03 and MP06. The front landing gear should be too.

yeah, you have to get him just right to be able to balance without the stand. And of course any somewhat dramatic pose is high near impossible without the stand.

Yea i agree with you. I think i saw on a post that "American plastic" is different but better..

I wonder if they're going to use the same plastic or different plastic for the japanese mp g1 starscream though...

Mine just came in and I must say his quality plastic wise is quite solid. The face is the wrong shade, and the red is too orange for my liking, but he definitely feels more solid than MP3, and on par with MP Skywarp.

So here he is, with Skywarp, and my MP3, now christened 'Thundercracker Low Visibility Mode' :D .

Super! Don't mind if I do the same? I like the colour scheme you used to make him look more Thundercracker-ish..:)

Damn, you beat me to it. I just took pics of the SSs. Oh well. I will agree w/ everyone that the quality of the AnimeScream is much much better. The quality is sturdier on AnimeScream, and more model-quality plastic on GreenScream, so much thinner and brittle feeling.

Overall, I am extremely glad that Hasbro decided to bring us Starscream in all his anime glory. Well worth the additional $50.

Go right ahead, I didn't think of the idea in the first place anyway :D .

And yes, the plastic quality of this is great. I've always been more of a buyer of Takara goods, but to automatically assume everything they do is better is quite daft to be honest. This is great proof of that!

I just got mine yesterday, in the mail and by chance on my birthday! WOW! I was reluctant to open the package, but I am going to get a second one.

I love the jet mode as unless you look at the bottom or at the glaring Decepticon emblems you'd be hard pressed to tell it is not a F-15 model.

His robot mode is pretty cool, even with the hip kibble, and he looks very similar to the animated version. I love the two heads and the signature smirk on one of them.
