Quotes from a recent article by Justin Grant New York (Reuters)

"Hasbro Inc., the world's second-largest toymaker, on Wednesday said it is is intensifying safety checks on its toys following a second major recall by industry leader Mattel Inc. of Chinese-made toys within the last two weeks."

"Most of Hasbro's toys are made in China; Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Sean McGowan said this fact may actually help the makers of Transformers and Star Wars action figures prevent tainted toys from ever reaching a child's hands."

"Knowing that they are more vulnerable, they have put layers of testing that they might not have if they weren't using contract manufacturers." McGowan said.

Good to know our beloved Transformers aren't tainted with lead. Still it's a good idea not to eat your Transformers, even if they are lead-free. :D

Of course you could always roll around naked in a pile of Transformers too but that's for another thread and another time...

Glad TF Fan can find humor in just about anything. :lol  Anyway, here's a related question from Plastic Crack:

So... if all of a sudden we were to find out that a line of TFs has something toxic about it or something to that effect, would you partake of the inevitable recall?

Or would the damn things just become listed "high-lead rare variants" on eBay and marked up another 20%? :lol

You bet. They recalled a GI Joe Roadblock back in the 90s which now commands big bucks.

I'm glad Hasbro didn't have to recall anything. If you think the TF drought is bad now, can you imagine what a recall would be like? Madness!
