And it's even more funny because it wasn't a joke.

You make a good point, and you're right that some of the Hasbro "bashing" is pure stupidity, but in this entire thread, I see one person doing that, and that definitely isn't anything significant or worth even approaching as if that's anywhere near the average third party fan's mindset.

Too bad the fans can't even decide what the fans want.

Then why invite these companies to your conventions?

Hopefully not before my Seekers are released.:lol

Personally nothing that Hasbro has put out in the last year has impressed me, the 3rd party items however have. Whenever they (Hasbro)finally decide to release TF Prime I'll be all over it, but until then 3rd party all the way.

    I really don't know about that;

25 years ago the STAR TREK franchise was reatly helped by the "3rd party" garage resin kit makers. Then more officially licensed merchandise took off and the garage kit went away.

Transformers could easily be such a scenareo; while 3rd Party does knock-off far too much, they are also making that stuff that HASBRO doesn't thatfans seem to want.

Personally, I think HASBRO would be idiots to go after 3rd party.

The groups don't officially have tables at BotCon, nor get invited. They show their prototypes off through the retailers, like TFSource or Robot Kingdom, like at this past botcon.

microsoft did not shutdown every 3rd party developer, some they bought out and then incorporated into their brand. so hasbro should buy some of the 3rd party companies and then make even more of the awesome products these companies are making. I want the 3rd party combiners and more of the hearts of steel line.

i think its pretty obvious the fans want a classics devastator, classics magnus armor, classics rodimus prime (not midget deluxe), classics springer (triple changer), MP Shockwave, Soundwave etc. etc. etc.

I didn't want to be the first to mention his name, but yes. That is who it was. He was talking to Sidecutter of Captured Prey as he was looking at the Hercules bots, not-insecticons, and MasterShooter's stuff.

I could really care less. I don't collect third party and don't intend to. It's overpriced merchandise that Hasbro should be giving us themselves. They'd have no place if Hasbro stepped up their game and made the same products they are producing. I can guarantee if Hasbro made a new classics Devastator tomorrow, it'd be just as good as Giant or Hercules and for almost a 9th of the price per figure, and no one would keep paying the BS prices third parties charge.

LMFAO. You sure seem to like to use comments like "pathetic" when you're the one with nothing better to do than troll up threads for attention and can't add a lick of sense or relevant conversation to a single one you post in.

Now run along and go "flame someone"... oooooooo! Get em! Call em' all a buncha' POPS'ES!

Damn... that definitely pretty much seals it up. :-\

I really wonder how "far" this will go. Did he specify whether it was legal action or "product war"?

Not in the size we´re seeing currently. Their own designs (Heartmaster) are very recent. Everything else is heavily inspired by Hasbro´s TFs.

And Hasbro won´t really go after 3rd party, since it´s not a threat to their profits.

TBH, I'm really only interested in two on your list, Classics Devastator and Triple changer Springer
