Yay? Sounds like it could fun.

Seeing Vader, Cobra, and Megs team up could be fun. Dunno what the story will be like but it sounds fun.

    MASK!

Also, copying Toy Story is cool as long as Megatron is in it.

Hmm...I'm of two minds on this. One one hand, it'd be pretty funny seeing Hasbro toys interacting with each other. But on the other hand...I don't really know how they're gonna go about animating the toys themselves. Are they gonna use stop-motion? Or is it going to be in CG?

Unless Tim Burton is making this, you can bet on the latter. Maybe ala Toy Soldiers.

I sometimes wonder if those RPM's with the pop-out weapons shown off at Toy Fair are kind of a "test the waters" vehicle (pun possibly intended) to see if there's any interest in bringing back the MASK play pattern full scale.

so are they gonna set this in China or Vietnam?

Personally I reckon Hasbro are deluded if they think their other toy franchises are anywhere close to as popular and movie-worthy as Transformers. They just don't have the same potential. They'll be lucky if they get one good movie out of the lot of them, and I'll be genuinely surprised if anyone of Spielberg's calibre gets involved.

Having wondered the same thing, I can only hope that they sell well enough to warrant a new MASK line. I have nearly completed my MASK series 1-3 collection and would love some new figures / vehicles to add to it.

I'm assuming a lot of those movies will be straight to DVD, including the Hasbro movie (it's a self promoting commercial, there's no way they can release that in theaters :lol ), which if so would mean they might actually be entertaining.

Though if you really wanted to make a good movie featuring a bunch of toys who interact with each other, they should totally recruit some people from the Funnies. Pol, CI and Coolhand could probably make one hell of a summer blockbuster with a factory full of Hasbro Toys. Though there might not be much left when they were done...

    Also: MASK, F Yea.

I could see this as being a good idea, theyve got more than enough recognizable properties to fill out a cast of characters, and hey, MASK! Awesome!

M.A.S.K!! YES JEM & THE HOLOGRAMS!! YES

This seems very similar to a few others movies, I can't really imagine it being all that.... other than what I imagine it to be on ground those other movies have covered already

but I'll watch it for sure and make up my mind then : )

I thought they said they didn't have the rights to the name "M.A.S.K."?

After Star Wars toys started to spin out, and they lost ground to Hasbro on G.I.Joe then TFs, Kenner specficially crated MASK to try to capitalise on the two line's success.

But now that MASK is a Hasbro brand.... it just seems pointless... unless they plan to link it into Transformers, and then bridge it to G.I.Joe somehow.... Those motorized conversion RPMS (was that the name?) may mean something else now.

I've come to love their regular attempts to reboot G.I.Joe by sticking to the same core characters over and over again.
