News Post: Hasbro Explains The Future Of Transformers Movies: 2019 And Beyond
blah blah blah, spin spin spin...
So, a different timeline from the movie chronology?.
Can we just get a new Beast Wars already?
In before @Dinobot Snarl rants. "This will suck, we need g1"-
"It's not a reboot!, it's a <textbook definition of a reboot>."
Soo long story short... its a reboot?
Oh boy! I loved the relationship between Daniel and Hot Rod!
To hell with the 80s...how about we hearken back to the end of TLK and find out WTF happens with Unicron? Lol. I hope that happens at some point...need closure...
Beyond that, I would totally dig some origin stories.
Reading this, it seems pretty clear that Bumblebee takes place in the same universe as the other films. If it were a full reboot, they could have just said yes. What it sounds like they're saying is that Bumblebee is a prequel that isn't very reliant on the other films because of the time period it's set in.
I'm glad to hear that the people at Hasbro are pouring so much time and love into this movie. It sounds like this movie is their big thing for 2018 and 2019. Part of me thought they might try to sweep it under the rug (it kind of feels like Lucasfilm did this with Solo), but it sounds like Hasbro's pretty proud of it.
*insert pic Hasbro/Paramount execs with heads up own ass.*
May we have IDW-movieverse pls? pls? pls?
That was a lot of words, but they really didn't say anything. Just the same PR jargon.
If they're starting the series again, using the BB movie as a prequel, then changing what came later, it's a reboot. Simple.
Bring on the trailer!
I so wanna see a trailer before I get more excited than I currently am right now.
I’ll be there (unless it changes) when it arrives in the UK on Boxing Day.
New word: Preboot
lol I almost wish they didn't even throw that in there. there was already so many sub-plots going on in TLK. but we may never get to see the coolest one.
could you imagine a shot of NYC or something and then it just turns into a big ass leg or something? Or a shot of the ocean with all the water getting displaced and a giant arm crashes out of it.
Cool, Bumblebee a.k.a. Transformers 2007 redux! A boy and his car is now a girl and her car.
Didn't they learn from Sam Raimi Spider-Man to the Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2
In short: "If the Bumblebee movie makes a ton of money, that's what we're doing. If not, eh, throw some cocaine at it and see if Bay sniffs his way back into the fold."
So does this mean the bayverse will continue as prequels?
Oooh, it's all about the BBmovie, not about TLK tanking. Suuuuure.
