Title says it all..... WTF!?!?!?!? I'm trying to get Mindwipe and Skystalker from the site and it says it won't ship to a APO....... Why not? It's not rocket science. Amazon has Mindwipe but he's like $40... I mean the Transformers selection here in Germany is horrible.... I just got Bludgeon on a lucky trip to the BX.... I guess Hasbro doesn't care about us troops.

It's nothing personal, they probably never considered selling children's toys to American Soldiers overseas. How long are you there? Could you not just get them to ship it to a relatives house or a friends place?

Look man, I know you just joined, but it's part of being in the service.

You wanna know why A LOT of companies don't ship to APOs or FPOs? It's because:
    1. When it leaves the US borders, it's in the hands of military postal workers vs USPS workers, who a) have less oversight, b) get paid a whole lot less, and c) therefore have less incentive to do their jobs as well. Overseas packages get lost. A lot.
    2. There have been years worth of military personnel who have learned to game the system, and have. Again, there is no oversight when the package goes overseas, and therefore no tracking works either. So there have been literally THOUSANDS of troops who have ordered extremely expensive items, then claimed they never got them in order for a 2nd order to be shipped again. Companies have learned that it's just not worth dealing with. It the fault of the people who have taken advantage of the system (a very small minority) and the rest have to pay for it.

So while I feel your pain, let's not jump on the easy way out, which is to publicly denounce someone for "not caring about the troops." It's not Hasbros' fault, it's the fault of a handful of assholes wearing the same uniform as you. As was said above, just have it sent home, and have a family member mail it to you.

so buying a 25 figure and spending several hundred dollars to ask them to visit, and hey by the way bring this figure for me?

that makes sense unless they are already coming.

Umm... Children live on bases around the world. They have their own schools, bowling alleys, arcades, theatres and everything. It's not only soldiers there. Many of them bring their families and full family housing is available.

    A bit of speculation...

It may not have to do with HTS, but rather the postal carrier. USPS ships to APO/FPS addresses but UPS does not. HTS uses both carriers, likely going with the one providing the best negotiated rate at the time (yes, shipping rates are negotiable, especially for large companies). If UPS is giving them the best rate for, say, a few straight weeks, then your order wouldn't get processed for an unreasonable amount of time. HTS is also likely saving more by negotiating rates than profits made by sales to foreign US military bases.

i would venture a bet on the lack of tracking being the big thing...look at HTS too...they just started shipping to canada after all this time so they are just way behind on the times....but APO boxes probably are on the forbidden list due to corporate "risk factor for loss" being too high.
