Man, that reason for Galvatron being a deluxe is really really lame and stupid. I guess they're gonna say Powerglide wasn't colored maroon because too many planes are the color red.

 

Interesting. Hot Shot is a surprise, but wasn't what I was hoping for. Very interesting news about Powerglide. I wasn't expecting the heart thing to be a gimmick with him, though it is a nice surprise. Good to know that we'll most likely be getting a Ratchet from Universe Ironhide. I now might have to extend my to-get list. Here's hoping that we do get MP Grimlock, and that he's a Target Exclusive instead of a Walmart Exclusive, though a non-exclusive would be prefered.

 

They already said that the colours were chosen to keep up the trend of realistic vehicle modes with realistic colours.

Please no. I want to get him too if he comes out. Target exclusives are hard to get over here and I realy hope that if he is a Wal Mart exclusive, he's a Wal Mart exclusive everywhere.

 

Just a comment on Galvatron's reasons for being a deluxe... Hasbro has done a LOT of Voyager+ tanks over the years.

If every tank they made had to be a Voyager, it would take away from doing other characters.

 

I expect the real reason is they toy was designed with other tank guys in mind. Say change the head, chest and cannon, and viola, he becomes either Warpath or Brawl.

 

Don't forget Bludgeon!

I still think that this mold has repaint potential as Bludgeon - maybe as a Botcon figure.

The sheer volume of voyager (and up) planes and other misc. flying things they've done for years doesnt seem to be effecting them flooding universe with those.

 

Also G2 Megatron, but that was so long ago...

 

You could count CD Scattorshot, but that only makes three.

 

Armada Megs and Galv were what would be called Ultras now.

I agree. It's the 25th anniversary of Generation 1, not Armada. But I also agree that a new Armada Hot Shot toy that doesn't suck total ass could be very cool.

it's a bullshit excuse. them saying "we have too many tanks in this scale" and not saying "we have too many planes in this scale" proves they pulled the excuse out of their ass to justify it. hell, you'd THINK "too many flying things" would have come up when they decided to use the evac mold TWICE for universe (as blades and springer)

the real reason, I'm sure, is that they just wanted to make him a deluxe. which is fine. but the excuse they gave makes no sense at all, and was likely given so people wouldnt bitch.

 

hasbro's selling the line as the 25th anniversery of transformers as a whole, not just G1

 

Yep, just like with the GI Joe 25th line, they are celebrating more than 1982 guys with the line, so Transformers will celebrate more than just the initial 1984 crew.

 

See? You get the point. 25th Anniversary of Transformers, not the 25th Anniversary of G1 alone.

Just like the 30th Anniversary Star Wars line - they made toys from every era, not just Episode IV.

 

for the 25th anniversary of G1 they're releasing that G1 prime reissue. That's enough, I think. I'm gonna get it and keep it sealed. it's a sexy box.

plus there's that whole G1 revival universe is bringing, you know.

looking at all the G1 stuff universe is bringing us, I don't see how anyone can complain.

 

Yup yup, all of Transformers within the 25 year span. We'll see G1, G2, MW, BW/M, RID (new Sky-byte NAO!!!! I don't care if the old one's flawless, a nice little fiddly one would be awesome. Maybe as a legends class), A/E/C and maybe even the movie.

 

The movies line is still going on, like Animated, I don't think we'll be seeing anything from it in 25 anniversary.

I wonder if we'll get any japanese stuff?
Like the Beast Wars convoys.

Although Robot Masters seems to have a lot of that taken care of.

edit: My dream toys that I think have no chance would probably be any design from Hearts of steel or Nova Prime.
