Looks like people have cases of the "Mondays" today.

This is supposed to be the greatest year ever for a fan!!!

It's the year I get a lot more picky about what I add to my collection.

I just read the locked "noob" thread before entering this one.

    Context may have been needed.

But is the cost of a Cheeseburger meal really even worth these? That may be too much, IMO.

I can't say I dislike the robot modes but the (insert descriptive word - meteor, crap, brown tear, a drip from the anus of...oh, you get the idea) mode is horrible.

That was hardly a warning of banishment. My opinions on the toys have very little to do with my opinion of the movie since they look about 75% different from one another.

My point was, you give the design team on this line FAR too much credit (in my analogy they are the dogs, not you guys).

Collectors are supposed to be discerning. Lousy toys are for 5 year olds.

Sadly, there is this small cross section of fans that would spend 29.99 on a tree branch if it had an Autobot logo on it. "Oh, look, they made a new movie figure based on Botanica!".

Or, maybe "lousy" is an entirely subjective term, rather than the statement of fact so many try to make it out to be.

    Crazy talk, I know....

Hey, relax there big guy. It has, on many occassions, been proven that dogs and cats are capable of thinking on levels of logical complexity much higher than those of 50% of the human population. Dogs and cats are smarter than most people give them credit for.

Why, just the other day my dog logged onto the internet and started posting his opinions about the new movie designs himself!

These two toys still redefine the word "crap" in my opinion. Pass.

Of course it is subjective. Obviously "lousy" is a term that immediately implies opinion over fact (even in the case of majority opinion, as in this case).

I'm not going to apologize for speaking my mind. Face it, if you can't handle other peoples' negative opinions, posting boards are not for you.

I'm not cursing. I'm not trying to make people cry. I'm just pointing out that, in my opinion, these figures lack any and all aesthetic appeal, and the Hasbro executives who approved them should not be lauded for a sense of product history they clearly lack.

I could almost like Prime if he was given a pair of swords, a better head, and done up in Optimus Primal colors.

So far the only movie figs I'm planning on getting are Blackout and the Movie minis... and possibly the "Ultimate Bumblebee".

What you are doing, though, with statements like
is insinuating that if other collectors don't share your opinion, they have no taste.

I just don't understand why folks can't say they don't like something and leave it at that. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it "lack any and all aesthetic appeal."
