Ironically, I have no issue with Galvatron still being a space cannon planted in place. :lolol

When I think of Miami, I don't think of livin' out in the woods, hunting, fishing, farms, and the like. And I believe many others will agree. And you came in here stating than OG G1 was better somehow and that "enough is enough" like Hasbro is committing some kind of injustice to us for making Megatron's alternate modes since then make more sense. The gun was just silly, but it was the 80's, where Sci-Fi did whatever the heck it wanted without reason just because. I pointed out the obvious and you've flown off the handle and placed blame on you not getting your Sunbow G1 Megatron gun on people in hoods, gun laws (which are stupid, but mostly necessary), and then made a derogatory comment towards southerners, then acted like it wasn't because you are from the south (supposedly).

Actually I believe they are both supposed to represent the Cyberverse Starscream but that the animation design changed after the package art was already done. There's more similarities than not, from the knees, wings, et al, main difference being the chest.

I have a feeling we might eventually see a Generations Cyberverse voyager Megatron based on the image Hasbro posted on IG. If not, well that's a shame, looks decent to me. I like the character designs but want fully articulated toys that are on the level of the Prime Wars trilogy at the very least.

I've always thought they were meant to be different as they look a bit different and because they're advertised as two different things. But if that's the case then I hope we get the later refinements as I vastly prefer the designs that are advertised as being "Cyberverse".

I actually really do want to see the Generations: Evergreen toys (if they exist). Despite the fact that I'm meh about Cyberverse, I'd still collect those toys to have that show's characters in my collection.

There was a rumble during toy fair, started with the background blueprints of megatron and we thought we were getting a decent megatron for a very brief time frame. then people realized it was just the evergreen megs (below) and everyone was disappointed.

Now, obvously these originate from the same concept art, however, the amount moving parts in the "pretend engineering" design make me ask " can that really be the voyaer megatron I have been hoping for?" oh hasbro why you play with us like that !! either reveal it or say you're not making one!

I think you missed the part where kids think toy guns are cool (NERF is consistently in the top 3 brands for Hasbro) and would probably buy a NERF Megatron if he was featured as such in the media.

That'll all change once the kiddies start running over people with tanks for youtube hits.

This place is bat shit crazy. A fun picture gets tossed on Instagram and it devolves into quasi-political rants about kids getting shot for eating a candy bar.

    Stay classy, TFW2005.

It would be nice if this is an actual
Easter egg for an upcoming generations cyberverse voyager Megatron.

Nah. Even kids know that shit's dumb. Also remember that, for kids, Megatron has always been a tank or a jet or something. He hasn't been portrayed as a gun in widespread cartoon media for decades. It's been tanks and heavily armed aircraft. Why would they be so happy he's a gun, when that's a downgrade for them?

Also there's that whole "maybe don't use cool robot dudes to sell guns to kids" thing, that doesn't really feel proper these days, you know?

I don’t see how that renders his point moot.

Because I can share both factual evidence:
What Will Strong Nerf Sales on Amazon Mean for Hasbro?

    and anecdotal evidence:
As a father of two children, I can tell you that one of the things they enjoy most when they have friends over is shooting the crap out of each other with NERF guns or Laser Tag. And I can tell you right now, even my 13-year old would pounce on a working-NERF Megatron, which is a marriage of two of his favorite toys.

Also, NERF still gets half an aisle of merch in most retail stores. How large is the Transformers section these days?

Kaosu is free to refute either of those. But as a parent, I can tell you that toy guns are thriving.

I see where you’re going, but I (and maybe Kaosu) meant an action figure of Megatron that transforms into an Earth gun. A working Nerf gun toy of Megatron would be fun, though.

It can still kind of look like an Earth gun. Adapt something from the NERF Doomlands line and you'll get something close to G1 Megatron while still being NERF proportioned enough to be recognizable as a toy.

But then Hasbro couldn't make it be the standard Megatrony color scheme of grey, black, and sometimes red sometimes purple. It would have to be very brightly colored to keep the police from confusing the gun mode for a real gun. That's why there's no Hasbro version of MP-36.

Not necessarily. You can have white green and grey with some safety orange thrown in.

That might work, however the color schemes they use for Nerf guns aren't very Megatrony. Which is why I'm fine with having Megatrons either keep their original Cybertronian modes or disguise themselves as tanks or heavily armed aircrafts.
