News Post: Hasbro Applies For Transformers Live Action Movie Trademark
Didn't realize they needed to do this...or rather, they hadn't done it already.
whoa, we're getting a live action transformers movie?
i bet it's gonna be GREAT. who do you guys think will direct?
They're making a live action transformers movie!?
I wonder who they're gonna get to direct it...
EDIT: Holy shit ninja'd
Hope it's Michael Bay. Think he'd do good with the action and I enjoyed Bad Boys and The Rock.
Wow, it's hard to believe the first movie is almost 10 years old. Wonder if Michael Bay is going to go "George Lucas" and release a "Transformers" Live Action Special Edition where Barricade shoots first instead of Bee.
The me from 10 years ago: A live action Transforemrs, thats awesome. wait what the heck is Transformers i never heard of it, why i am here to begin with?!
Not an expert on this matter, but does picking up such a trademark imply a new movie? The most I got out of this was Hasbro planning to make another DVD boxset for the TF films or something of the sort
There is only 2 reasons thy would do this.
1. They are planing to re-release the move(s) with extended editions/directors cuts.
2. They plan on releasing a new box set with the past 4 movies and the new movie once it comes home.
They only submitted screenshots of TF2007 and ROTF in the application... some kind of special re-release of the first 2 films?
Maybe they are finally going back add re-editing them to clear up mistakes and polish them up with a few new scenes and or add back in some stuff that was cut for the theatrical releases. Seeing how it's the 30th anniversary of TFs I could see them re-releasing them with new content
The interesting thing here is that it's Hasbro, not Paramount that's getting these trademarks...
cool I guess.
already got it on DVD though, so pass.
Not sure. I just hope they don't choose Michael Bay
The 30th anniversary was 2014. This is the 30th of the animated film.
Basically the Batman V Superman: Ultimate Edition but for Transformers lol
I know that. That's what I meant. And why do you think we are NOW getting Hot Rod in the movies? To go along with the 30th anniversary of the cartoons.
Would be cool!
Maybe they're going to rerelease some of the movie one toys next year to commerate it?
Then why is Galvatron not being hyped, let alone in the film? He is Hot Rod's opposite.
