No, they're not unless they can find a retailer for him, and in all likleyhood Hasbro won't. Animated is dead in the States, the line anyway since some of the characters are trancending it, but with Prime and DoTM on the horizon it's likely Ani. Blackout will not see a stateside release any time soon, if at all.
At this point you may as well wait for Botcon to be sure, but Animated has been dead here as a line for a long time. I'd be very skeptical about it still happening.
I really wish they'd release him, but I don't see it happening. I'll definitely be keeping an ear out for the announcement at BC.
It sucks the Generation line is only for deluxe, that could had been one way to mass release the remaining Animated figures.
i hope hasbro releases one, cuz the shiny paintjob wont fit in with the rest of my animated collection.
Being the proud owner of Takara's Blackout I can say he fits in just fine. The shiney paint is limited to the thin red details. Other than that he has some silver paint (regular Has/Tak silver, not shiney kind) on the wings and purple D-con logos. And Hasbro won't be making one.
why doesnt hasbro just sell the unreleased animated on their website hasbrotoyshop.com. wouldnt that be the easiest. if people are right and these toys are made and just sitting in storage you think it would be better to make some money on them instead of lettin them sit.
We have no clue how many were actually produced. Without a retailer lined up, they probably didn't make many beyond a few samples. It's not like there are unsold caselots of them squirrelled away in some musty warehouse. And it's certainly not worth it to fire off a limited run just for Hasbro Toyshop.
they are not sitting in storage, only a few samples got out and there has not even been any official box images for the american blackout. though he is on my shelf
The Allspark Almanac 2 says difefrent. It quite clearly states they've completed the entire production process.
oh well excuse me mister lol. i dont have that so no idea. but still odd we never saw or seen any in box images but still crazy to think if they did make a bunch. maybe since takara did blackout they said fuck it.
I'm betting my shirt on Ross stores. Given the number of unreleased GI Joe items that are landing there, I have high hopes.
That is not the same thing as already having large quantities packaged and gathering dust. That's certainly not how I read it anyway. I mean, they might as well put them on HTS if the alternative is lighting them on fire.
Release it under RTS =D, so that they don't have to tell the retailers its Animated product. I mean its not like they're telling the retailers which specific aesthetics fall under RTS/Generations anyway.
