There has been no announcement of a Hasbro release. Watch the Botcon coverage for one. I know I'll consider it big news if they announce a release!
The only Animated toys coming out now are exclusives. A lot of retailers are bitchy and won't let Hasbro sell Voyagers as exclusives by themselves. They need to be packed with a Deluxe or something.
Yeah, I was going to wait and see...but after seeing pics and reading enough reviews of the Taktom version I just decided to get it. He arrived yesterday, and he is awesomesauce. Now I just have to wait until the TRU exclusives come out (Rodimus & Ironhide) and then I can have my Animated "closure"...as far as the toyline goes anyway. Blast you Hasbro/CN for making sweet sweet Season 3 unavailable as a general DVD release
...When is Encore Fortress Maximus being released? Hasbro release is probably months off. If ever. If no news at Botcon, i'd suggest you just take a deep breath and buy the Takara one.
That's the way I chose to interpret that statement. I'd also love to know how Animated is doing in Japan, for possibility of any extra merch, however unlikely, that might bring.
Feralstorm, the Blackout in your signature has the US eyes and Japanese stache. Did you just paint in around the eyes a little bit or were these sold this way at one point?
I painted the eyes. Actually the Hasbro version had little round dots in the eyes, while I tried to make a more cartoon-like shape (proportionally too big to be accurate, but it would probably be near-invisible if I tried to make it correct.
Man I hope we get voyager Diabeetus and the other cool Animated goodies like Wingsabre Prime. I love the Animated line.
I freakin hope so. I dont want to take a deep breath and drop $50+ on what SHOULD be an $20 - $25 mass release TFA voyager. "Should" is a very subjective word, and I do realize that Hasbro owes me nothing, but I would still like to know I could go to any of the box-stores and pick one up. As much as I want one, I just dont know if I can put $50+ on him.
u gotta remember that these figures cost more in japan to begin with. take bbts and tfsource paying that price, plus to ship to them, there has to be a significant mark up hence everyone paying around 50 or 50+ for him. I have both has/tak version and paint app wise i think the tak works better, at least on theirs the CON symbol lines up where they few ive seen and had of the has version never lined up. talking about the chest.
