They also should air some commercials on TV that say that. During kids programming.
Hope they don't need a recall now.
That would look pretty darn bad.
Damn...you beat me to posting this!
I guess that means even fewer TFs available, as parents scoop up the only safe toys available for sale.
This thread is incomplete without Deefuzz's front page artwork:
Logo the same color as lead=WIN.
Damn, they're gettin down and dirty eh
"Hasbro: we won't kill you!"
ahh, but by skill and careful regulation or by flat out luck?
So that's why my TFs are missing paint apps.
Most likely both. They probably just got lucky when they found out about all this and checked the toys for lead and came back clean. But now that they're aware of the situation they'll probably be stepping up inspections a bit.
You mean that isn't official artwork from Hasbro
Ballsy move Hasbro, bravo.
I'm not too surprised by this. Afterall, this is the same company that modifies or denies us toys because some part of them could break and be eaten by a child. Heaven forbid if the kid got lead poisoning too while choking to death on a transformers part.
Seriously, kudos to hasbro for their standards, tests, and they have heavy right to brag. They just better make sure not a single hasbro toy shows up afterwards with lead.
A company might shoot back about their EZ bake ovens
Quality Joe variants and quality lazy eye zartans for everyone!
Hasbro: "We have no plans to poison our source of income!"
Hasbro's new motto, "Our toys, so safe you can suck on em".
Ballsy like pinching a guy in the nuts!
It seems like a low blow, but I suppose all is fair in advertising - plus it's the absolute truth, so far anyway, I'd hate for them to have a recall right after putting out this ad campaign.
Ballsy maybe, but I've heard ALL toys are taking a hit this season from the Lead'n'whatever scares, especially if they're manufactured in China like %80-plus of toys and everything else. I figure Hasbro is just trying to take back some of the toy sales that were taken from them this year by parental fear and confusion.
Just hope it doesn't backfire with a recall happening shortly after.
Kind of a cheap... Oh Well. They can brag all day about not having lead in their paint... That doesn't mean they have better product than Mattel or the other companies out there. ...It just seems like a low class move for Hasbro to take.
