Just wait. I bet the 2020 season of Power Rangers will be based on Toqger.
Basically, it's a patch season. Saban already owned the rights to produce the series and the mecha were right up Hasbro's alley in terms of design and engineering.
The true test will be what comes afterward in 2020.
I would love it! And I would hope for a straight adaptation of the show, too...it's a really, really good story!
Well I don't know if they would do that. I would really like to see what Hasbro could with the Toqger footage that's different from Toqger.
I'm not certain what they COULD do that would be too different. Even the fight sequences rely pretty heavily on the "imagination" angle. And if they cut out the Shadow ToQOne story arc towards the end, I'd be pissed.
That too was a good season.
Oh, wow maybe we'll get some megazords that can actually move.
2037 Goranger adaptation hype. Speaking of, if you look for long enough at that all rangers poster they put out you can see Goranger and Dairanger in the background.
Combiner Wars quality Megazord...
Count me in...
We could expect some "Hit & Misses" in their 1st year.
I know we have high expectations but I think we should manage it.
Remember when they 1st took over Marvel Legends?
I hope they will do it right at the first step right away.
Well Dairanger suits were in Super Megaforce.
I really liked seeing some sentai only teams, but they were such a waste of potential.
If Power Rangers was added to a Hasbro Universe, what would that ones version of Countdown to Destruction be like?
Maybe Hasbro will let fans vote on some Power Rangers figures, like how they do the Transformers fan votes.
Ah, that's why I was confused to see this posted - this is continuation from the toy license purchase.
Hasbro buying Power Rangers is very...odd - mainly due to Takara and Bandai competition in Japan and Bandai still has the toy license for Super Sentai
Pffttt.....Hasbro has at least three franchises in the gutter, that havent seen any real news for decades, some of them have seen only horrible news, and instead of focusing on putting their own house in order they expand them....And all those are going to ride on the strained back of the TFs......sigh.....
I doubt Takara will have much at all to do with Hasbro's toy plans for PR. And the toys Hasbro will be producing won't be available directly to the Japanese market. It'll be interesting to see what Hasbro decides to do when they're making transforming robots of their own engineering without any input from Takara, although I'm sure they're not slouches themselves.
Considering Hasbro has seen Power Rangers as a sort of competitor to Transformers for some time, I have a feeling they're going to make product that stands apart from Transformers rather than a product that compliments it.
I'm actually more curious to see what Bandai America will do to offset the loss of Power Rangers. Will they decide they try to reintroduce Gundam? Ultraman? Maybe a hodge podge line of characters like GoDaiKin (and Shogun Warriors before that) were.
They will make Ultraman: Gundam.
