Well now that Hasbro and others related to the the Universe release and any other I did not mention have made their initial profits, maybe they can start to reconsider some things about the Universe line, like tying up some loose ends?

Animated and The Movie line are extremely successful beyond Hasbro's wildest dreams... So lets re-invest in a background filler line like animated, that is the formula for success.

Hasbro said they would take some of the success and make products for the 5-10% fan-collectors but the primary lines are still the growing focus.

    Wow,

Maybe they can use some of these profits to create Transformer toys that do not fall apart by looking at them, don't look like they have been through a splash paint bath, and actually use paint that does not just rub off?

I just listened to the webcast. This is great news all around. Big success means better things to look foward too. I'm sure Animated will help out 3rd Qtr. results and if Wave 1 of universe is any indicator, this is gonna be huge.

I don't know about you guys, but they can't keep Universe figures on the shelves around my part.

This is something Transfans all over can be happy about.

Why did you change it to Transformers in your quote? Indiana Jones and GI Joe were listed but not Transformers in the article as being main contributers to their success in the first paragraph.

We'll see what Q3 does to see if Transformers is a cash cow for them as Q2 just missed TFA pretty much. Pretty early to tell if the line is selling good as I still see lots of product and shelf warmers.

Did you also notice they are hiking up prices starting September 1st? Get your stuff now if you can.

Weird. Reuters apparently updated their article. That quote was the original opening paragraph to that article and the press release was only 2 pages then instead of the 3 pages there are now. Very weird.

Yeah, cause the referenced Transformers later on as a contributer. I see alot of IJ though clogging the aisles didn't think it was selling so good.

It was right after they forgot what quality and quality control means.

INDIANA JONES contributed to this? You're kidding me. Those have been the biggest movie toy shelf warmers around here since the original Hulk movie...

The news has me a bit worried since it sounds like they will get even more expensive and with oil going up & down lately...how much the Transformers are going up is the true question to that.

This is my concern regarding this matter and thanks for allowing me to say it.

I agree while Hasbro getting well paid for their stuff is a good thing for that company, I think raising prices especially during a "Recession" is a bad move which I think we need to alert them somehow to stop this from occurring before Prices raise on 9/01/08.
