Coming from G1 and going into something like Beast Wars, Wars II and Car Robots/RID one could say that was a dark age. However watching Car Robots and BWII today they aren't horrible. I was someone who would not watch anything but G1 and G1 comics.

Prime was game changing and that broke me out of G1 only syndrome . I loved it and wished they just kept going.
I really wish though we got better figures out of it.

Unicron Trilogy was okay but too long in my opinion. Couldn't watch in English

Can't say I like RiD / Adventure and I really tried. I liked Transformers Go! more than that and that isn't saying much.

Not really, especially not for Prime and RID.

But no, I think the worst time would be pre-Beast Wars, where there WAS no cartoon. Can't get darker than that (Though Combiner Wars tries).

It would be the dark age if the next show is movieverse based. I would rather take 1000 Energons or Combiner Wars over that anyday.
