Just wondering if anyone in the US has found a copy yet - I've heard varying reports of either today or tomorrow as the NA release date.

    Should I go hunting yet?

Nintendo broke my heart with that game... Controlling Link like a PC RPG... Good luck to those looking for it though. I'm sure it will be a great game. It's Zelda after all.

Say what now? What do you mean?

EDIT: Oh crap, I just read about what you mean. That sounds absolutely shitty - is there no option for real controls? It sounds a lot like that crappy Starfox DS game.

I'm all for innovation of controls and the like on the Wii and the DS, but don't change stuff that works great just because you can, Nintendo.:stick:

At least let us have a control choice.

On games like Diablo on the PC, you point your mouse where you want your character to go and they go there... you click continuosly to swing your sword (on the enemy you want to attack) and the character swings. This Zelda is a wee-bit more dynamic in that you swipe your pen on the screen to make him swing, but the reviwers said that you do get a lot of instances where the DS reads your motions wrong, and you find link rolling off a cliff, heheh.

The other elements of the touch screen are amazing... making notes on your map, controlling the currents, laying a path for your boomerang, but let me control Link with the D pad and swing the word with combos on the buttons. This isn't inovative. It's Diablo.

It is supposed to come out on the 2nd (manana) and from what I have heard it is a very good game but on the easy side considering it is a zelda game. I am definitely picking it up tomorrow.

Supposedly the touch screen controls work really well. I'll believe it when someone can give a first hand account. And I believe the official release date is tomorrow, which could mean you won't find it until Wednesday.

I dont think Nintendo would release a broken game. That is, I believe it works well, with the exception of Link not always doing what you want him to because your pen goes off the screen or the motion is read wrong... But in the "paraphrased" words of Jeff Goldblum... "Just because you can do something doesn't always mean you should."

Yes it works, no it's not inovative (PCs have been doing it for years and years), and it was never even remotely broken. I swear on Smasher's Halo record that I am a Huge Zelda fan (I can beat Zelda 1 in 45 minutes from beginning to end), but I will be skipping this one, on that notion alone. It may lessen my Zelda fanboyism, but I'll take the hit over playing Link with Mouse controls.

The ship date is today so it will be in most game stores tomorrow (gamestop, gamecrazy) but will be in retail on Wednesday, I could never figure why retail is always behind ohh well. I reserved it and I already got my call from gamestop to pick it up tomorrow so everyone knows what I will be playing and I will definitely post my impressions as soon as I can.

We need a Wii Wind Waker sequel.

Could this be the "Chain of Memories" of the Windwaker saga?

Iknow it's not a popular title, but Windwaker was a brilliant, and one of my favorite Zeldas of all time. I swear that game was serene in a way that only a vacation can provide. The sounds, the vast oceans, the sweet design. I guess is some cases, I'm open to change, like in WW, but in controls, I like what I had... Minish Cap, FTW.

Just phoned my EB where I preordered, and they'd said they'd be getting it tomorrow.

Stupid Nintendo and their release dates. Make sense, damn you!

Wait, I apologize for the "stupid" remark. Friendsies?

I'm looking forward to this. It sounds a lot of fun, and the control idea doesn't sound too bad (though I would prefer D Pad controls as well)

I hope it's not as boring as wind waker was. That was just a big pain in the ass 90% of the time, only 10% fun. Water fails in Zelda!

I read somewhere that this game was built for the right handed player and left handed players need to adjust to it. I hope it's okay for me. I remember the Sisters extra in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, and I couldn't play that game at all because I'm left handed.

I didn't notice anything that ought to affect left-handed players when I was playing it, but then I'm not left handed.
