It's been out a while now and a shit load of games have landed on the Wii, some truly awful and some games people genuinely adore. Now obviously games such as Twilight Princess, SSB:Melee, Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 have been delcarded as the consoles best games but what else is there?

I have the console, I have 20 games that are barely worth my time so if I wanted to expand my Wii collection what games would be worth picking up? Wii exclusives of course, no ports from other consoles please.

    Any of those?

The op really needs to change Melee to Brawl. Melee is a GCN game.

I'll add Wii Sports Resort to the mix, as it really is a great showing off of the Wii Motion Plus, and really great as a fun party game for those of us who don't like combat or shoot 'em up games (especially good if you're like me and have family using your Wii).

Mega Man 9 and 10 are on other consoles too so not really Wii exclusive.

Melee/Brawl it's all the exact same thing "Oh shit Kirby stop sucking me off!!"

I forgot about DK Country Returns, good call Matrixbeast. And I need a personal remind...buy Kirby Epic Yarn

Not really. The thing that made Melee a hit was that it had been a while since the last SSB.

Brawl enjoys a great reputation because it fixed a lot of the problems Melee had, what with the ridiculous attacks some had in Melee (fast blasters which stun, etc.) being toned down, more character variety and thus more attack variety, etc. Hell, Brawl made Jigglypuff viable.

But anyways, I do quite enjoy the Mario Party games. While it is definitely not necessary to have more than one edition (as they are all remixes of the previous one), the mini games are fun for multiplayer time wasting, and nothing feels better than shaking a can of soda with your Wiimote, all the while drinking a real can of soda with your mates. :)

I've always considered myself a good critique of Nintendo games, and in my opinion the truly must haves for wii are:

    1-Mario Galaxy
    2-Mario Galaxy 2
    3-Metroid Prime Trilogy
    4-Donkey Kong Country Returns
    5-Sin and Punishment-Star Successor
    6-Punch Out
    7-Red Steel 2
8-Zack and Wiki-Quest for Barbaros treasure
    9-muramasa-The demon blade
    10-Mad World/No more heroes1&2(this depends on taste)

Picking up the GC version of twilight princess would be a much better decision in my opinion. If you've never played Resident Evil 4 the wii edition is a must.

Yep. Many Wii games are must-haves. I own about fifteen Wii games, and they're my "elite class" since they've been the ones to survive and not be traded in. These would be:
    Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Super Mario Galaxy (1 and 2)
    New Play Control Pikmin
    Metroid Prime Trilogy
    Metroid Other M
    Mario Kart Wii
    Punch Out!!
    New Super Mario Bros. Wii
    Donkey Kong Country Returns
    Wii Fit
    Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
    Sonic Colors
    Wii Sports
    Pokemon Battle Revolution

Those are all mainly first party games. That should be a big hint. Most of the time, first party games DO NOT disappoint. Nintendo doesn't publish crappy stuff very often.

Except for that last one on that list...
Granted, my brothers and friends played the hell out of that game so that when we Pokemon battled everyone could watch, but it was a major disappointment.
(I do, however, enjoy my Electivire, Magmortar, and Surfing Pikachu)

Dead Space: Extraction, Silent Hill Shattered Memories, and Mad World are all great games. Okami, if you haven't played it already on a PS2, is an absolute must.
