it seems that for the past two-three months, firefox has become sort of laggy, and doesn't seem as lightning fast as it used to. I don't dl anything shady, and my computer is wicked fast, so I was wondering if there's some sort of update mozilla did that would've changed it.

It's been my main browser for years, but I find it a bit over-rated.

Try disabling any add-ons and extensions. Then go one-by-one to see if any of those are slowing your system down.

Add-ons tend to slow mine up.

Delete all the ones you never use.

Mine started that a year ago, disabled all of the add-ons and it continued, so I just switched to Google Chrome and haven't had any more problems.

You won't know until you try disabling them to see if there's a speed increase.

I had used Firefox at home and at work. I'm still using Firefox at work, but at home it was causing me some real slow problems. Mostly seen on Facebook and I knew it was Firefox because Chrome worked fiine. I ended up switching to Pale Moon at home.

Don't forget that Mozilla is open source, and Firefox isn't the only browser out there that uses it. A friend suggested Pale Moon and I like it. All my Firefox extensions and add-ons work with it too. I'm not sure about TBird integration tho.
