The powered up Prime is what made Jetfire worth it to me.

Every time I get stuck on a transformation, I put it down for a few minutes then come back when I've calmed down and try again. Always works.

First: Extend the part where the Autobot logo should be.
Second: Hold the hood, where it should be.
Than push the top of the Autobot logo part.
    That part holds the hood.
I can't believe that someone can't figure that out.
look at 3:00 for that step.

I opened up a Beast Wars Retrax, and after about 20 seconds of starring at him, made him into a ball and threw him on the ground. He shattered into a few pieces, none of which I wanted to ever see on my shelf. So I kinda gave up on him.

Heheh. I often just pick up RotF Mixmaster and transform him for fun.

The only figure I gave up on was MP Megatron. I got it when it first came out (2007?) and transformed it maybe 4 times. Each time took over 45 minutes, and it's been in gun mode since 2008.

TFTM Leader Megs. First and only transformer I ever gave up on and litteraly threw him back in the box...and to this day he remains in that box.

I've never given up on any figure, but I've certainly gotten frustrated enough with a few of them that I don't bother transforming them anymore unless I'm severely bored and need to give myself a project to work on. Several of the Alts, MP Megatron, and WFC Bumblebee & Cliffjumper are a few that immediately come to mind.

    DOTM Leader Class Sentinel Prime

I for the life of me,couldn't get those damn panels to sit flush.I would put him down and come back later to try again, and still couldn't get it.Eventually I said screw it,put him back to bot mode, and put him on the shelf.

I came to this thread to complain about mixmaster. Looks like he is the most popular figure in this thread. I am glad I am not alone. I have been playing with transformers for 20 years and I cannot get him into truck mode even with the instruction manual.

Oh, I almost gave up on G1 Devastator. I think it was a knock-off version because it came with all 6 Constrictions on card, not in a box set, and they didn't come with any instructions. The only thing I had to go on was box art which was printed backwards so I spent the longest time ever trying to figure out how to attach his right arm to his left side and his left arm to his right side. After I found one of the pegs and peg hole meant to attach one of the arms on the opposite side or where I was trying to put the arm, I realized the picture on the box was backwards.

It makes me sad when people can't transform Mixmaster. No, I don't mean it in a condescending way: it's just that he is so awesome, it's a pity his complexity puts many people off. Seriously it's one of my favorite movie toys ever.

I could never get WFC BB or CJ into alt mode well. Things just don't seem to line up well at.all. Going to bot mode isn't bad though.

The left leg of my ROTF Ultimate Bee is stuck in the middle, I've given up trying to pull it down for fear it would break. Anyway, it is in storage now, something to take care of when I have more time.

I also gave up pushing the head forward of my WST Grimlock, it was already stuck when I opened the package.

It surprises me that people actually have trouble with Mixmaster! His arm parts can only really go one way, and the way they're designed there isn't much potential for error. Likewise, his legs fold in pretty well and easily also. He's quite literally a matter of straightening the legs, folding them in half, folding up the arms, then putting the cab over the legs and finishing with the arms turning into the drum. WfC Optimus is much more complex than Mixmaster is!
