Yeah. How dare they want to release it when it'll make the most money.

I don't see this causing a major problem in my day to day life. I'll still see it whenever it comes out.

I'm pretty sure this movie would make a lot of money no matter when they release it.

Harry flipped his broom at an intersection and had to have his fingers amputated. At least that's what I read on the intranets.

No biggie. What's an 11 month delay in the grand scheme of things?

Look at it this way. It just means there will be less time between the Half Blood Prince release and Deathly Hallows.

Actually, I am glad, as I will be training for 6 month in a place where there's no cinema.

    That's a bummer they're postponing Half-Blood Prince. :(

On the bright side, it could mean that they'll put more work into it. :D  Unless the filming is already done.

    HP:Half-Blood Prince Delayed

Was just over at Mugglenet and saw this:

MuggleNet | The ULTIMATE Harry Potter Fansite - Deathly Hallows, Order of the Phoenix, JK Rowling, rumors, news, forums, images, video, and more!
I'm actually a bit disappointed by this. I was planning on going to see it on my birthday. At least now I might be able to go to it with a friend of mine who's going up to Michigan to college, and a friend of mine who's in the Army (he might be in town around that time). I'm not even gong to read any of the comments about this on Mugglenet. While they aren't as bad as some TF fans, some HP fans can really get snippy over the tinniest thing, or something that couldn't be stopped (like the change in Dumbledore actors).

At the very least their being honest with us about the reasoning. Instead of coming up with some completely BS answer that makes no sense whatsoever (like some that we get from Hasbro). As far as I know they've either got all of the actual filming done, if not a great majority of it. Now all that should be left is post production.

Their Delaying HBP Until 2009? Jeez, talk about a wait.

I don't think there was anything anyone could do when Richard Harris died (its not like he refused the role) and they choose another actor. Were they expecting Sir Ian McKellen do take up the mantle -- that would be typecasting major -- or something? Honestly, Harris was my favorite and I'll miss the man (he was fine actor), but Michael Gambon isn't a terrible Dumbledore. Granted, it took awhile to get used to him (especially since I didn't know Richard Harris was dead until I saw something about it on A&E), but he's a great replacement.

And the second highest grossing Harry Potter film their referring to is Prisoner of Azkaban?

I believe they're referring to Order of the Phoenix.

I know, I'm just saying I've seen a LOT of HP fans groan and moan about it. Even after Gambon's been in three of the movies. Personall, while Richard Harris was a great Dumbledore, I equally like Michael Gambon's Dumbledore. There are some things Dumbledore does that I just can't imagine Richard Harris doing in a movie.

To answer your non-question question of 'who cares?', the answer is simple: all of the people who disagree with your stated opinion of the series.
