Yeah, not going to lie, I loved this show as a kid. I had several of the figures, the T-Rex is my holy grail. I was inspired by the new Jurassic line. Here is what I have so far.
I had a bunch of Dino-Riders as a kid. Still have most of them, and this is a really cool idea. Can’t wait to see where it goes!
Glad to see there is some dino riders love out there. I started with the Triceratops because he is the biggest one I had and was the most stable figure to play with. I'm hoping we get a restock of the JP dinos soon so I can pick up one or two more to work on.
I LOVED Dinoriders!!!! I hope this is something you pull off. I've been waiting for their triumphant return to toy shelves using updated Dinosaurs. I still have some of the armor in my parents attic if you need parts. Make Dino Riders Awesome again!
You definitely have my attention! I was a HUGE Dino Riders fan. Used to stare at the Trex in a toy catalogue for hours until my birthday came and I finally got it! I wAs soooo in love!!! I would go completely crazy if Mega Construx started to make them!
A few changes. Added holes for adding weapons and detail plates. This is definitely a heavy armor version. I think I will work on a lighter version as well.
Maybe make the Triceratops the battle ship, with smaller quadripeds the screening beasts? I don't know if there is a Jurrasic World Styracosaurus, but it is a smaller Ceratopsian. Make them the lighter, more maneuverable defensive screen for the heavy hitters. Are you strictly following the old toy lines of who used what dinos?
I would love to go with exactly what there was in the line, but I don't know if I have the skills or resources for that. . I will just be making what I can with what I can find. I picked up what will be my first brain boxed Dino today. Metriocanthrasouraus.
If I remember rightly, they used actual Dinoriders dinosaur toys for part of one of the Jurassic Park line of toys many years ago (sans the armour).
It wasn't the JP line it was for the Smithsonian. DINO RIDERS WORLD - TOY SECTION (www.dinoridersworld.com)
